Nicki's POV
''Good evening Nicole, I'm Dr. Woodman. I will be your psychologist for the next two months.'' The woman said with a warm smile.
What?
''Um, excuse me?'' I say
''Oh, you mean your brother didn't tell you? You are signed up for two months of psychologic help, in other words we're going to find out why you're cutting yourself.''
''H-how did you know?'' I stutter
''Like I said, your brother Kyle told me everything.'' So much for having a brother I could trust.
I make my way over to her desk and she stands up to shake my hand.
''Oh'' is all I reply back. Now that I actually look at this woman, she's beautiful. She has to be in at least her 40's, since she's been licensed since 1989 according to her name tag, but she doesn't look a day over 30. She has long blond hair that was pulled up int a tight ponytail on the back of her head with a bit of fringe in the front. Her makeup was natural and she was wearing a navy blue dress that went down to her knees matched with a pair of black ballet flats.
''So, would you like to start by telling me about yourself?''
Something about this woman didn't seem right. She was too perfect to know how to fix all of my problems. She must've sensed my weariness because she said, ''Don't worry, I'm not allowed to tell anyone what goes on in here. I promise'' Dr. Woodman said with that same welcoming smile.
Taking a deep breath I begin the long story of my life, ''Well, it all started when my father started drinking...''

Nicki's POV
The drive home was possibly the most awkward time of my life. I was beyond angry with Kyle and I knew that he could tell.
Kyle's POV
Wow. Nicki was mad at me. She was gripping the steering wheel so hard that her knuckles were white and I'm pretty sure she's speeding, great. If we get pulled over who knows how much trouble she'll be in because she only has a learners permit.
''Kyle, why?'' Nicki said
''Because you needed it''
''Okay''
The rest of the car ride was silent. We were driving on the main road that led us back to our house.
''Ding ding!'' The car needed gas.
Nicki's POV
Sighing, I pulled into the gas station on the corner. The prices went up and it was 3.27 a gallon. I don't have that kind of money, so I decide to just fill the tank halfway. The car slowly pulled next to the gas pump and look over at Kyle. He was leaning against the door looking out the window.
"Do you wanna go get some candy or a drink? I'll buy."
''Sure. Thanks Nicki''
Reaching into the glove box, I pull out 4.00 and hand it to Kyle. We both get out of the car and Kyle heads towards the building and I take the hose out of the pump and put it into the gas tank. I pushed the right buttons and payed the money.
The pump dinged and I took the hose out and put it in the pump. I got in the car and waited for Kyle. I was on Twitter when I noticed that Kyle had been gone for 15 minutes. Maybe the line is long? I should still go in and check. I started the car and pulled into a parking spot in front of the building. I got out of the car and locked it, then went inside. I spotted Kyle in the corner. He was talking to some girl. I decided to leave him alone and just text him to come back to the car in 15 minutes.
To: Kyle
I see you met a girl;) come back to the car whenever you're ready. 15 mins tops.
-
From: Kyle
Thanks nicki 5 mins
The car was parked to where I could see Kyle and the girl. She was defiantly pretty. She has brown hair that went just past her shoulders with side bangs. She had a grey headband in that had a little bow on it. She wasn't wearing makeup, which was good, and she had a little bit of acne. She was average height but had a very petite frame and was very skinny. I'm glad she wasn't dressed like some of the other girls I've seen in his grade. they wear at least ten pounds of makeup and have shorts that are practically jean-underwear. Just as she was about to leave Kyle said something to her and she giggled. It looked like she was saying goodbye and she gave him a hug, awe. Then Kyle gave her a kiss on the cheek and left. He walked out and had a smile on his face. He got into the car and buckled up, saying nothing and just smiling.
''So where's the drink you bought?'' I teased.
''Uhh...'' He said.
''That's okay I understand. Keep the money'' I said smirking.
I drove to the end of the parking lot and waited for a gap between oncoming cars. A blue Chevy was waiting behind me.
A red light stopped the cars from coming and both me and the Chevy could go onto the main road. I soon turned onto the road that would take us home when I looked into the rear-view mirror and noticed the blue Chevy about a foot and a half behind our car. They were so close I could clearly see the driver. He was wearing a grey baseball cap that was blocking the view of his eyes and forehead, but I could see that he had a fairly large nose, and small lips. There was someone sitting in the backseat but I couldn't tell who.
"Kyle, write down that cars plate number"
He got a piece of paper and a pen out of the glove box and turned to get the number.
Third Person POV
Kyle turned to get the plate number but was faced with something terrible. The person in the backseat was climbing into the passenger seat. And she was holding a gun.
"N-Nicki!" He say dragging out the ''i'' sound. ''S-she has a gun!"
''What?'' Nicki said. when she looked into the rear- view mirror her eyes bulged out of their sockets. '''Oh my god, Kyle call Mom!'' She yelled.
Still driving, Nicki pulled out her phone.
''BANG''
''AHHHHHHHHHH!'' Kyle screamed so loud that it must've ripped his vocal chords to shreds. The woman shot the gun with her hand hanging out of the window. Luckily Nicki swerved the car and the bullet missed the tires.
Nicki's POV
''911 what's your emergency?''
''BANG''
''Help! My name is Nicole Harper someone's shooting the car my brother and I are in! We're on 23rd street just passing the grocery store!''
''Okay miss, stay calm. I'm sending three squad cars out this second, they'll be there in 3 minutes tops okay?''
''Okay thank you'' I said then hung up. I turned my head and looked at Kyle meeting his eyes.
''Nicki... They're gone.''
