"The most important thing is that you are okay," Dad whispered, kissing my forehead.

"Where's Matt?" I asked through a raspy voice.

The only thing I want is Matt.

He nodded and sat down. "He'll be here after school,"

I slightly shook my head. Gosh it hurts so bad, my entire body. I have such a horrible headache from this concussion.

This is awful.

"I'm calling him," I informed him, reaching for my phone.

"It's only noon, he's in class."

"I don't care," I snapped, finding Matt's contact and calling him.

He answered on the second ring.

"Audrey," he answered, sighing in relief. "How are you?"

"I want you," I manage to choke out, fighting back tears.

There was a long pause.

"I'll see you soon," he promised, his voice choking up.  "I love you."

"Always and forever."

I hung up. It was so nice to hear his voice after the few days that felt like centuries.

"Well?" Dad asked, catching my attention.

"He'll be here later," I informed him, reaching for my water.

Gosh my throat hurt. I took a sip, it sliding down my throat in relief.

"He never left your side when you were unconscious you know," he nodded, with a smirk.

"I know," I smiled. "He would never leave me."

Dad grabbed my hand and kissed the back of it. "I love you baby girl,"

"Love you too,"

We sat in a comfortable silence for a few moments. There has been something that I have been itching to ask him and mom since we told them I was pregnant.

"Dad?" I asked, catching his attention this time.

"Yes sweetheart?"

I took a deep breath. "Are you mad that I am pregnant?"

He looked me in the eyes long and hard before answering.

"I can't say that I'm mad. Maybe disappointed but not mad," He sighed, itching for words. "This is sort of something that I would expect from Kylee, not you. Your mother and I specifically asked you about having sex to prevent such a thing and then you end up-"

"I know," I choked. "I'm sorry daddy,"

A look of grief crossed his face as he peered down at me. He took my hand in his and pulled me into his chest, hugging me.

"Congratulations on the twins," he whispered, without pulling away.

Dammit Matt, we were supposed to tell them together.

I let out a nervous laugh and he only tightened his grip.

"Am I interrupting something?"

Tom let me go and we looked to see Brandy entering the room.

"No," Dad confirmed, getting re-situated in his seat.

I'm really glad we're on good terms.

"Good," she nodded. "Tom come with me, Audrey has a visitor,"
