"I don't care what the doctor said," I said, finishing up my winged eyeliner. "Homecoming week is my favorite event of high school and no one can take that away."
I finished my eyeliner and clicked the lid back onto the container.
"Audrey, please." Matt plead. "You're on strict bed-rest for a reason."
I slapped on some mascara making my big blue eyes pop.
I was wearing a pink puffy tu-tu with a pair of pink knee-high socks. I threw on a pink cropped-top saying, "On Wednesdays We Wear Pink" with a pink headband and pink bandana wrapped around my thigh. To top it off, I slipped into pink flats and slung pink beads around my neck.
If you couldn't tell, Juniors wear pink for the first day of Homecoming week.
"I'm going to school all week, then the game to watch my man play on Friday while I cheer on the side." I informed him, slumping on my bed. "Then the Homecoming dance is Saturday."
I lifted up my phone, getting a closer view of him on my iPhone screen.
"Audrey, please just stay home." He sighed, "You just came home from the hospital yesterday."
"What's the big deal?" I asked, bringing Matt with me downstairs so I could get some breakfast.
"The big deal is that you're carrying my baby and I want you to be as safe as possible." He said, shuffling on the other line. "And if safe means bed-rest then so be it."
He must be getting ready.
"Matt, I'll be fine." I said, skipping down the stairs. "I promise."
"I still don't like the idea." He frowned.
"I have a squad to lead as we cheer, I can't let them down."
"What are you doing up?" Brandy asked me as I waltzed into the kitchen.
"Getting some breakfast before school," I smiled, shuffling over to the fridge, opening it. "I want some pancakes."
"Audrey, absolutely not." Brandy said sternly.
"What?"
"You can't go to school!" She beamed, closing the fridge. "You're on bed-rest for a reason."
"That's what I said!" Matt screeched, still on the other line.
Brandy raised her eyebrows at me in confusion.
"I'm Facetiming Matt," I informed her, flashing her my screen.
"Of course you are," she shook her head. "And you're not going to school."
This is gonna be hell. I feel fine.
"Especially not dressed like that." She said, turning her bak to the counter, making the boys food.
Boo, I want food.
"It's Homecoming week," I rolled my eyes. "And yes, I'm going to school."
"Audrey!" Tyler cheered, raging towards me. "Brandy said that there is a baby in your belly."
"There is," I said, smiling as I rubbed my belly.
Though I was as flat as before, I couldn't wait till I blew up like whale.
"How did it get in there?" Kyler asked.
I heard Matt burst out in laughter, "This one's on you." He laughed, "I'll be at your house in twenty."
And then line went dead.
Great. Just fucking great.
'Well boys," I began, taking a seat on the counter. "Brandy?" I whispered.
