"Get up, get up, get up!" Molly chanted, vigorously shaking my body. "Come on lazy bones!"
I groaned, rolling over. I am tired and pregnant, not a good match.
"Go away," I huffed into the pillow, snuggling it into my body.
"You have to come to this party," She hissed. "You're still captain of the squad. All cheerleaders and football players must attend. And you're scheduled to run the raffle."
"Says who?" I tested, facing her but with my eyes still closed.
"Says everyone, come on." She sighed, tearing the blankets off me. "We have gone to this party three years in a row. We must go this year as well."
"Why?" I groaned, gulping down water that was sitting on my nightstand.
"Because we support cancer awareness," She said, matter-of-factually. "You're lucky I remembered the stupid t-shirts for the raffle."
She is such a good sport.
"Thank you," I sighed dramatically as I climbed out of my ginormous bed. "What do I wear?"
"Uh, white?" She deadpanned. "It's a white out party. Everyone will be wearing white."
"Check my closet," I groaned, jerking my thumb towards the end of my room.
I winced as I got up and made my way into my bathroom, without closing the door.
"Any word from Matt?" She inquired, shifting through my clothes.
I was silent for a moment as I absorbed what she had said and looked deeply at myself in my large mirror.
Where is my life going? I am sixteen and pregnant with my now ex-boyfriend's babies. If I can't keep the father, how am I supposed to keep two babies?
Yet he's all I have been able to think about.
I shook my head at the sight of myself. The bags under my eyes are becoming more and more noticeable, as well as the stress wrinkles on my forehead. I wouldn't consider myself pretty in the first place. But these awful imperfect flaws don't help.
"Aud?" Molly yelled, snapping me out of my thoughts.
"What?"
"I found something," I heard her voice as it neared my bathroom.
She walked into the room holding out a white dress. "This?"
My heart hurt as she innocently held it up to me. One of the last times Matt told me he loved me.
"That's the dress I wore to my gender reveal party," I said shallowly. "The last time Matt and I were together as a couple."
She gave me a tight lipped, sympathetic look.
"I found white shorts and I think I have a white top you could borrow."
I shook my head, sobering up. "No it's fine, I'll find something."
I threw on some makeup and found some white clothes to wear.

"We're only staying for a little bit," I warned the girls as I climbed out of Sage's Pontiac.
"Okay," Molly stressed, shifting the box of shirts on her hip. "We heard you the first four times."
I sighed, continuing to crutch beside them and making our way into the building.
Half of me is hoping to see Matt, the other half is screaming at me and telling me to leave it alone.
"Are you conducting the raffle?" Sage asked, holding open the door as I crutched in.
