“If the baby is a girl can we call her Alexis 2?” Alexis chimes in
“Or if it's a boy?”
“Daddy junior?” she questions
We just laugh “Elijah Junior?” Asiah echos
“I hate that” I frown
“What's wrong with EJ?”
“His or her name needs to reflect them not us”
“Your right”
“What about Princess” Alexis suggest
“Honey your sister or brother needs a real name”
Alexis sighs “This is hard” she pouts
“What about Alexa?”
Alexis perks up at the name “Yes”
“No, too close and besides we're having a boy”
“You don't know that” I say flipping through baby name books
“Trenton” Asiah announces
“Put on the list..what about Chyna?” I ask smirking
“No”
I just laugh “I was just kidding, Chyna opps I mean Asiah”
“Shut up” she hits me in the arm
“After the baby comes can I get a puppy?”
“No” we say in unison
“Why not?”
“Honey, your not old enough to have a puppy”
“When I'm older can I have a puppy?” she asks batting her eyelashes
“Yup”
“Natalie?”
“Nope”
“Weston?”
“Hell no”
“Mason?”
“I'll put on the list”
“Read the list back to me, please?”
“On the girl side we have; Alicia & Michelle and on the boy side we have; Trenton, Jordan and Mason”
“Are you kidding me we've been doing this for at least an hour and all we've got is five okay names...”
“It's okay we're gonna find a name...it's not like we don't have time”
“I guess your right”
Alexis covers her mouth to contain her yawn but I notice it anyway
“Bedtime” I call out
“Can I talk to the baby first?”
“Go ahead”
Alexis goes over to Asiah's stomach “Hi, baby I'm Alexis and I'm your big sister and I love you goodnight”
“Aww, baby that was very nice”
“Thank mama” Alexis kisses Asiah's stomach then her cheek
“Come on kiddo let's go” I say heading upstairs right behind the five year old.
