”He came here to your house?”
“Yeah”
“His ass was lucky I wasn't here or else I would have f--”
“Language” I interrupt
“Sorry...what did he sad he wanted?”
“Forgiveness”
“Psh, that nigga luck if he's still breathing”
The doorbell rings “I'll get it”
“Are you sure?”
“Yeah, it's good excise” I say getting the door
“Hello...I'm sorry I don't remember your name?”
“Asiah” I say softly
“Is my son here?”
“Yes but I think you should leave--”
Raheem, Elijah, and Alexis walks out of the kitchen and into the living room
“Alexis go to your room” Elijah commands
She rushes upstairs
“May I come in?”
“I-I guess so”
Jonathan walks inside our house “Raheem it's so good to see you”
“Why are you here?”
“I've asked God for forgiveness and know i”m here asking for you and brother's forgiveness”
“I'll forgive as soon as you can bring my mom back to life”
“I can't do that”
“Exactly, then I can't forgive you”
“I know what I did was wrong that's why I've given my life to the Lord”
“Now where was all this holiness when my mom was getting murdered and all you did was watch?” he yells with tears in his eyes
“Raheem” Elijah says putting a hand on his shoulder
He shrugs off his younger brother's hand and steps closer to Jonathan “I will never forgive you! I hate you and I hope your rot in hell!”
“Son you don't mean that”
“I'm not your son”
“Elijah please talk to your brother”
“Jonathan I think it's time for you to leave”
“And this time don't come back” Raheem finishes
“I'm sorry if I upset you...have a blessed day”
**Chris POV**
“So your really not talking to me?” I ask
Charity continues to wash dishes without saying one word to me
“C'mon babe I said I was sorry”
She doesn't say anything “In my defense I was stressed and I knew a little bud would mellow me out”
She turns around “And you don't think I'm stressed out?”
I shrug “Are you?”
“Yes...I would love to have a break but you can't just take a break from life”
“Babe you know I got you...if you quit you job you know I'd always be there to support you”
She shakes her head “I'm not quitting my job I love working at the daycare”
