Walls

We build them to keep people out, and our thoughts inside. We create these imaginative walls of safety and security. We convince ourselves that we are safer behind it. No one else needs to see what's on the other side of the wall. Who would want to? They would see all the crazy, the insecurities, and the dark parts that any normal person would run away from. So why is it that when a certain person walks up to your wall they manage to hit all of the weak points. The wall begins to slowly crumble away. Until it's just a pile of stones and you can see each other through the dust.
