You will be loved and respected in secret. You will be hated and ridiculed out loud, and talked about behind your back. Not everyone will like you or what you want. Don't try to please everyone because it will only make you even more unhappy. Just be happy with who you are and the right people will love you for that. There is no need to keep yourself a secret from everyone else. If you do that then you are just going to attract the people who will exploit you for your weaknesses.
