You sighed and stuffed the last of your belongings into your suitcase.
You took one last look at the room that had been your home your whole life. It had changed. New furniture and belongings, coming and going.
This is the last time you'd be in it.
You sighed again, and headed out of the now bare room.
"You ready for your flight, (Y/n)?" asked your mom.
"Yeah." You sighed.
You were going to the Death Weapon and Meister Academy. You were a weapon. A spear.
You ate a little lunch, and your mom drove you to the airport.
"Stay safe, sweetums." She kissed your forehead.
"I will." You replied.
You boarded your plane and after a couple hours, touched down in death city.
You needed to get an apartment. Your mom had sent you with money to get a small apartment.
There were only a couple hours left in the day, so you hoped you'd be able to find something soon.
After a few hours, it started to get dark. You hadn't found an apartment.
You sighed and sat in an alley.
You were exhausted, so you didn't really care how dirty it was.
You laid your head on your knees.
"Hey, what're you doing here?" asked a boy's voice.
"I'm trying to sleep." You replied.
"In a muddy alley?" He asked.
You looked up at him.
He had Snow White hair, crimson eyes, and shark teeth.
"Yeah, who doesn't sleep in a muddy alley?" you asked sarcastically.
"Hey, why don't you come sleep at my house? I was just on my way there."
"I don't even know who you are!" you replied.
"I'm Soul Eater Evans, but you can call me Soul."
"I'm (f/n)." You told him.
"Well, (Y/n), what do you think? wanna come and stay with me and Maka?"
"Maka? Who's she?" You asked.
"She's my meister."
"So, you're a weapon?"
"A scythe."
"That's cool, I am too! I'm a spear." You said.
"Are you here to enroll in the DWMA?" he asked, pulling you up, and beginning to lead you away.
"Yeah." You said, following him.
He lead you to his home, a small, but cozy house.
"Soul, what did I tell you about bringing guests over without informing me? I don't care if you invite people over, but please tell me before you do." Said a girl with dirty blonde hair. She was wearing pajamas and slippers.
After giving soul one last look, she extended her hand to you.
"Hi, I'm Maka. What's your name?"
"(Y/n)." you replied.
"(Y/n), that's a nice name." Maka smiled.
"Maka, I found her trying to sleep in an alley." Soul told her.
"She's welcome to stay, just call me first next time."
Maka set up a spot for you on the couch with pillows and blankets.
The others headed to their rooms, and you tried to get a little sleep.

You woke up the next morning to the smell of eggs and bacon.
You sat up, and saw that Maka was cooking breakfast.
"Mmm that smells good." You commented.
"Thank you." She said.
You got up and offered ro help, but she declined.
You sat down and she gave you a plate with some delicious looking food on it.
You started eating as soul walked in.
"I need to go find an apartment today." You murmured.
"Well, you're welcome to stay as long as you like, (Y/n)."
You smiled and said "thanks."
"Since you're in no hurry to get an apartment now, why don't we enroll you in school today?" Asked Soul.
"Listen here, Soul." You tried to say as nicely as you could.
"Though I will go out and get enrolled today, finding my own apartment is priority number one."
"Okay, okay, we'll help you find an apartment too. Sheesh. Imagine, a cool guy like me forced to help her find an apartment." Soul said, rolling his eyes and grinning, showing his shark teeth.
"But I--"
"Forced to help." He interrupted.
"MAKA CHOP!" Yelled Maka, hitting him on the head with a book.
While Soul recovered, Maka explained that Soul wasn't usually like this, and how you'd grow to like him.
You were trying to hold back your laughter, but it came out loudly.
You accidentally snorted. You always snorted when you laughed, and that's why you tried to hold it in. It was really embarrassing.
Maka smiled. "Now get dressed. As you said, were going to get you enrolled today."
After taking a shower, getting dressed in some simple clothes, and brushing your hair and teeth, you were all ready to go, and together the three of you headed towards the school.
