You didn't sleep much that night. You kept nervously checking your phone. You were too anxious, and you felt like you were going to die. I almost killed Maka today, and I'll have to fight Kid tomorrow. You thought.

You rolled over, once again swearing to yourself you wouldn't touch your phone again. Eventually, you fell asleep.

The next morning, you got up at nine. It was Saturday, so you didn't actually have to go to school, but the final fight was today on school grounds at noon.

You walked into the kitchen, and decided you'd make waffles. They'd make Meg happier.

After about ten minutes. Meg came out of her room.

"Wow, you actually woke up first for once." she remarked.

"Are you ready to fight Kid today?"

Meg pulled a pained face.

"We're gonna lose, and we're gonna lose bad." She remarked.

"C'mon, Meg." You punched her shoulder lightly. "Be a little more optimistic. We beat Black Star!"

"But that's just because he's in love with you."

"N-no he's not." You could feel your face getting hot." Plus, even if he were, it's not in his nature to throw a fight just because of that."

Meg groaned, and pulled some cereal out from the shelf.

"Really? I'm making you waffles, and you're pulling out cereal?"

"Sorry. Waffles won't be done in enough time. I'm hungry now."

You chuckled, and picked up the plate you had already made.

"Waffles aren't that hard, Meg." You said, handing her the plate.

She set the box of Cheerios on the counter, and started spreading butter, and peanut butter on her waffle. She drizzled syrup on the top, and started to eat it happily.

You had never tried peanut butter on waffles. You decided you would try it. (If you have had it, pretend, and If you're allergic to peanuts, or something, it's cookie butter. (That's a thing, and It's delicious.))

You and Meg ate mostly in silence. the peanut butter was delicious. You wished you had thought of that earlier in your life.

You checked the clock on the wall. 10:30.

"Okay, so what do you want to do for the next hour and a half?" You asked.

Meg shrugged, sipping from her glass of milk.

You stroked your chin and thought for a moment.

"Let's just watch some TV." Meg muttered.

Before you could reply, she grabbed the remote and turned on the latest episode of the Kardashians.

"Ew, (y/n), next time, tell Soul to watch The Kardashians at his own house."

She changed the channel to cartoon network, then ceased making any noise. She was intently watching an old episode of "What's New, Scooby-Doo?"

You headed into your room, and grabbed your notebook. You sat back down next to Meg, and while she watched Scooby-Doo, you doodled all over the page.

Eventually, it was 11:45, and time to head to the school.

You started walking, mostly in silence until Crona walked up behind you.

"Hey, (y/n), what's up?" asked the grating voice of Ragnarok.

You sighed and rolled your eyes.

"You wouldn't live in a world where you had to be silent or die, would you Ragnarok?"

"Nope! honestly, I would live in the body of some old homeless guy if it meant I could talk."

You noticed Crona glaring at him, and you laughed.

"So, Crona, how are you?"

"I'm pretty okay. Just going to watch the fight today. I may not be in that class anymore, but professor Stein said I could come see you fight Kid."

"That's good. You get to see us get our butts kicked. You know, Kid's totally gonna beat us." You said cheerfully.

You glanced over at Meg. She was giving Ragnarok candy to keep him quiet.

Crona didn't say anything else, and you didn't really have much to say either. You walked in a bit of an awkward silence. Eventually, you got to the steps at the school. You spent the next five minutes climbing up the stairs. You had gotten used to it, so though your legs still burned, and your breath was still heavy, it was nothing compared to that first time when you had first moved to Death City.

You, Meg, and Crona walked side by side towards the field. You saw most of the group already standing around, including kid.

"Ahh, Meg and (y/n) we can finally start the match." Said Stein thoughtfully.

He set up the ring, and put you on two different sides.

"Yadda, yadda, yadda, you already know the rules, whatever. Just go when I sound the whistle"

You transformed into a scythe, and watched Meg look Kid in the eyes. Neither of them looked like they were in a fight. They looked a lot less angry.

The whistle sounded, and the fight began.

Okay, sorry, this chapter was only like, 800 words, which is 200 less than usual. Sorry. But at least I updated. Anywho, I'll make another chapter sometime before too long.

I just wanted to tell y'all how gorgeous you look today. Trust me. I can see you.

I can see you

I watch you sleep.

Yes, you.
