The Reach

I have been part of the Light for a few months now. I have also trained my partner in combat and weaponry, something she used to be absent about. She is now a trained assassin,  Wizard and scientist. I have done exellent work with her. Today Klarion and I have agreed that we should pin our two partners against each other.

We were in the Training Area in the Head Quarters. The two of them went into fighting positions. Just like I taught Nicki, get the first strike. She punched him in the face then kneed him in the stomach. Josh did a round house kick but Nicki caught his foot and used her magic to throw him to the ground by saying "Worht mih ot eht dnuorg!" I smiled as she jumped, sticking her elbow out and hitting him in the chest. Then there was a voice that said "Serpent Fail."

Nicki walked over to Klarion and I. "I think he needs to train with the Enchantress." She said, smiling. Klarion pouted and crossed his arms. My partner and I snickered under our breath. Nicki then ran over to Josh and helped him up.

"Want me to give you a few pointers?" She asked him. Josh nodded and she flipped him onto his back. "Step number one, don't let your guard down." She said evilly. I smiled in my good work as Klarion just huffed and face Palmed. I looked at him and smiled genually at him. He caught me staring and asked "Do you like what you see." I frowned and punched him in the shoulder. He rubbed it. "I just might." I said to him, smirking.

I then walked over to Nicki. I got a beep on my bracelet then took her arm and transported us there. Kalder'um was standing by is biological father. Savage was there along with Ra's Al Ghul, his partner, Brain and Monsieur Mallah.

"What is this about?" I asked sternly.

Kalder responded with "We want you to accompany me to our partner."

I nodded and Nicki put her hands to her hips. "What about me?" She asked annoyed. "Give Josh some pointers, while I'm gone. Also give Klarion some tips as well." I said to her.

She held her breath and crossed her arms over her chest. Kalder gestured me to come over there. I walked over and a boom tube opened up. I was then transported to an alien ship where a pale green alien met us. He started talking in click clack kinda way. I snapped my fingers and they started speaking English,  this way me and Kalder could under stand them.

"Good evening Kalder and..." The green Alien started. "The Enchantress." I finished. "Ahh. Very mysterious. Why are you here?" He said in disgust. I clenched my teeth but softened up. "I'm not sure exactly. Kalder?" I asked nicely.

"She is new and Savage wanted her to meet you." Kalder said with no emotion. "Well alright then, I'm the enbassidor." The alien, called the enbassidor said. While sticking his hand out for me to shake it. I shook it and smiled. Fake smiled. He then led is down some halls. I studied the walls, clearly alien. Then it hit me. The Alien race was the Reach. A race that are like scientist and they build much technology for their own advantage. As well as destroy planets. A very, very dangerous race indeed.

Another boom tube opens and a pale woman with black hair come through. She is wearing an orange and black mask with a matching uniform. I guess that is who Kalder'um is working with.

"Tigeress. So glad you could make it." Enbassidor says to her. She rolls her eyes and whispers some thing to the Atlantian. When I was around Tigeress I felt some what dizzy. I shrugged it off as just a cold or something. Tigeress went to patrol the troops. "Come, let me give you a tour." The alien said. Kalder and I nodded and we walked down another hall.

"Your ship is most impressive, Enbassidor." Kalder stated after a few minutes of walking down halls. "As are your people." He finished.

"We call ourselves the Reach. And these are our labs. Most dedicated to research the human meta-gene." The Alien said to Kalder.

"Meta-gene?" Kalder asked, obviously confused.

"A genetic marker indicating the potential individual  human to survive, catastrophic physical trauma by adapting new abilities."

"In other words enbassidor, the meta-gene allows certain humans to develop, Super human powers."

As they were talking we started walking into the first lab with a scientist in it working.

"Kalder'um, Enchantress, this is the scientist in charge of all meta-gene research." The green Alien said, gesturing to the womanly scientist in pink.

"I understand you are responsible for providing several of our test subjects. Gratitude." The scientist said with no emotion.

Kalder nodded in response and started walking toward some kids in containers.

"I assume it would interest both of you to know in this lab, we are attempting to isolate the meta-gene by stimulating potentially dormant powers in average humans." The scientist continued. Kalder stopped at the container with Lagoon boy.

Then they started talking about Lagoon boy. I really didn't care, I was busy looking at their technology. They were absolutely brilliant but for me, it only takes a simple word to give some one a power.

Next we all walked into a second lab with humans who already have super powers. There were only two people. Beast boy and Impulse. They were getting shocked for, stress. After we exited the second lab I snuck off to see Tigeress. I wanted to learn more about her. But she wasn't there. Then I sensed for her, she was in Star City,  probably to get more test subjects. So I just looked around.

I snuck into the third lab which had Blue Beetle in it. Then I noticed the scientist and a Black Beetle. So I snuck back out. That's when I sensed Tigeress was back. I went I ran over and saw Tigeress and Kalder. They were unloading pods or containers with a bunch of kids in it. Two of them looked vaguely familiar. I shrugged it off. An alarm sounded  and I was still with Tigeress and three Black Manta troopers.

One trooper walked up to the pale girl. She yelled "Hold your position trooper!" At him. He just attacked and took all of them out. I just turned invisible,  not wanting to sink the ship. It was superboy. They got all the kids and heros to the Bioship. I ran over to Tigeress and helped her up. We both ran to the room where they were going, but Black Beetle closed it.

I got really bored with all this waiting and fighting so I just snapped my fingers and flashed into the training room. Nicki and Klarion were fighting. I got here just in time. And she was kicking his butt.

As he was generating balls of energy she was using combat not Sorcery. It didn't take long for him to fall. I snickered at his defeat. That's when I made a portal and we went through.
