I was a bit nervous as I walked into The Waterhouse, but also very excited. I had gone home and changed, and darkened my makeup a bit. I left my hair down, straight. I could already hear music from outside, and it grew very loud when I walked in, and I could hear it more clearly. It felt like your parents telling you that you were going to Disney world. It felt like being told you didn't have to go to school if you didn't feel well even though you were faking it. It felt like driving fast in the middle of the night. It felt like cloudiness and sunshine all at once. It was an amazing sound.

I was hanging around in the back of the room, as I surveyed the band. There were four members. There was a boy with a bit of a beard and brown hair that was long in the front, shorter on the sides. He was very skinny and tall. He was playing guitar. There was another guy playing bass guitar, and he had a full beard and brown shorter hair. Then there was a blonde boy playing the drums making a funny face. I giggled at him. Then my eyes went to the boy in the middle. His dark hair was falling over his eyes. His lips were singing the sweetest sound as he played his guitar.

"I think we better go,

seriously better go

said the feds are here you know

seriously better go"

He glanced up. I think he may have been searching for my eyes. I stepped closer to him and out of the shadowy crowded area I was in. He glanced up as he sang "seriously better go" again. He looked so beautiful like that. Him and his band. Right in the spot he wanted to be. Doing exactly what he wanted to be doing.

The song ended and everyone whooped and hollered and all that. He looked at me and turned around, speaking to the drummer. He turned back to us all and said "This is Pressure."

More beautiful sounds erupted from their instruments and I couldn't take my eyes off of Matty.

Ron and Megan arrived during that song and we all danced.

"Well I stay tuned and listen to the news and try to fall asleep at night

Because I'm living in a house with just three walls so I'm

always getting recognized"

Matty winked at me.

The rest of the show was basically Ron and Megan drinking until they were off their faces, and me being wowed by The 1975. When they were all done, all seven of us met out behind The Waterhouse.

"This is Ron, and Megan." I said to Matty, and Ron and Megan waved at him, shyly.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Matty. And this is Adam, Ross, and George." Matty said, pointing at each one. He walked up to me and hugged me, picking me up a little off the ground. "I'm glad you could make it."

"You guys are amazing!" Megan said. She slurred a little and Ron put his arm around her.

He sloppily said "Super enjoyable!"

The guys all smiled at them.

Matty was looking at me and then said suddenly "Oh! Boys this is Julia."

"Hello," George said. The other guys smiled at me. I said hi to them.

"Well shall we get some drinks?" George said to us all.

Ross and Adam nodded. Matty looked at me.

"We should be going. Have a good night!" Ron said as Megan stumbled. Good idea. We said goodbye to them and they got in a cab.

"What do you want to do?" Matty asked me. His arm slid around my waist, which I had no problem with. His eyes were bright and happy.

"I'll have a drink," I said.

We all went back inside and before they ordered drinks they went to put their instruments away into a van. I was waiting by the bar and a two girls came up to me.

"Are you about to drink with those guys?" One of them said.

"Uh... yeah? Why?"

"Because they're so hot! I gotta get my hands on that drummer!" The same girl said. The other nodded, aggressively. They'd definitely had a bit to drink.

"Yeah I kind of like the lead singer myself."

"Can you introduce me to the drummer?" The same girl practically yelled.

"Uh I actually just met him myself. But..."

"You are the greatest! Do you hear that Andrea? We're gonna meet those hot guys!"

Andrea looked at me and smiled. "Sounds great."

"Let's buy you a drink! What's your name? I'm Kaci!"

"I'm Julia." I shook Kaci's hand and she ordered me something girly. Andrea introduced herself to me too. I told them all the boys' names as we waited for them to get back. I also told them how I met Matty.

"That is soooo cute!" Andrea said, and she put her hand over her heart. "I wish I knew a guy that sweet."

Kaci laughed at her and swatted her hand through the air, almost hitting me, and said, "Oh, stop complaining! Jeremiah was nice enough!"

They began to bicker about this person and the boys came back in. They walked up to me and I raised my eyebrows to them, signaling the two girls.

"Boys this is Andrea and Kaci."

Kaci instantly went up to George and introduced herself again. Andrea hung back with me shyly. Matty nudged Ross. Ross then went up to Andrea and they started talking, while Adam went to order drinks.

Matty stood in front of me. "So."

"So." I said back. "I made some friends."

Matty smiled at me. "They're nice."

"Mhmm." I said stepping closer to him. "I liked your music."

He was just about to kiss me when Kaci pulled me away. "Let's dance!" she said and started dancing to the loud music coming from the radio in the bar. I grabbed Andrea as well and we started dancing together on the floor. The guys were watching us. I didn't know if we were putting on some type of show or not. I didn't really care. I hadn't hung out with any other girls besides Megan in years. It was pretty fun.

When I went home that night I had Andrea and Kaci's numbers so we could get together again (with the boys as well, Kaci hoped). I had made out with Matty outside for about 30 minutes when I said it was time to get a cab, and I think the girls hit it off with Ross and George. Hopefully Adam had fun anyway with us. It was overall a very, very good night. One of the best ever. Maybe the best ever. So far. I had a feeling that with Matty, there'd be many best night evers.
