"𝐖𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄 𝐈𝐒 𝐒𝐇𝐄?" Rhiannon demanded as she burst into Mallory's hotel room. Mallory flinched at the disruption, and everything happened so quickly that she barely even registered the fact that Rhiannon was standing in front of her with a distraught expression. Rhiannon's tunnel vision prevented her from noticing the fact that Mallory had yet to put on a shirt, and she was standing in a bra and dress pants in front of her. Either Rhiannon was pretending not to notice, or she really didn't care.

"Who?" Mallory asked slowly raising an eyebrow. She crossed her arms over her chest, feeling subconscious being so exposed in front of her.

"Alana," Rhiannon exhaled slowly, tapping the side of her leg repeatedly. "She's gone."

"What do you mean she's gone?" Mallory asked slowly. A million thoughts were going through her head, but only one had alarms going off.

Had Spencer actually turned her in?

"I haven't heard from her in twelve hours," Rhiannon said frantically, reaching for her cellphone in her pocket. "That's the longest I've gone without hearing from her. When I went to her hotel room to look for her, it was a mess. There was clothes and pillows everywhere, and her cellphone was powered off and on the bed. She left it behind."

"Shit," Mallory cursed, running over to her bag to grab the black blouse there. "I have to get to work." There was a very real possibility that if Mallory walked into that precinct, she'd be leaving in handcuffs if Derek or Spencer said anything. They knew she'd killed Miles, and now they both had the power to destroy her.

"Work?" Rhiannon scoffed. "Did you not just hear what I said? She's gone. We have to go look for her."

"I am going to look for her," Mallory sighed, buttoning up her blouse with trembling fingers. She got to the last button, only to curse under her breath once she realized that she'd buttoned it wrong. She carefully undid all of the buttons, and only then did she realize that Rhiannon was watching her. "We have to rule out the possibility that she's been arrested."

Rhiannon scoffed, "Why the hell would she be arrested?"

"Spencer knows," Mallory said quietly, looking away. Rhiannon's frantic expression morphed into terror immediately, and tears welled up in her eyes. She cursed loudly and shook her head, "Fuck," she mumbled, "I have to get over there. I-I have to do something."

"No," Mallory said firmly, holding a hand out to stop her.

"What the hell do you mean?" Rhiannon snapped, narrowing her eyes at Mallory. Mallory kept her stance firm as she blocked the way to the door. "What did she make you promise her?" She demanded.

"She made me promise that if anything like this ever happened, I wouldn't let you do anything stupid," Mallory stated. Alana knew that going out with Spencer was a risk, and if he'd turned her in, then that meant that Mallory was next. Rhiannon was the only one who could get out of this, and the two of them had agreed that if something were to happen, Rhiannon was the one they'd protect. She was the only one who didn't get her hands dirty, at least not in the way that Mallory and Alana had. "She's not going to let you take the fall for her. Alana knew what she was doing from the start."

"Please," Rhiannon begged, tears streaming down her face. "Mallory, please, you don't understand." She shook her head frantically, and Mallory felt pity for her. "You have to help me. If something happened to her, I don't know if I'll be able to handle it."

"She'll be fine," Mallory assured her, trying to be strong for the both of them. However, her mind couldn't help wandering to the darkest of places. Spencer and Morgan knew. Had one of them said something? Had Alana been arrested? Or worse, was she dead? Mallory didn't want to consider the possibility of the latter. "I'm going to go to work and see if she's there. Promise me you'll stay here, Rhiannon."
