Spencer, 
You know, I don't think I've ever written someone a letter before, let alone a postcard. I guess there's a first time for everything? Did you know that the Eiffel Tower was almost dismantled in 1909? They only kept it because it made a great radio tower. Rhiannon and I walked past it after dinner last night, and I swear I've never seen her so awestruck by lights before. I have to admit, seeing all the happy couples made me rather miserable because it just reminded me of how much I miss you. Rhiannon hasn't stopped teasing me about it since. We bought pastries this morning and sat by the Seine watching boats pass like something out of a movie. I think... I think I'm starting to feel like myself again. I wish you'd been here—you'd have loved the little bookstalls. If we ever come back here, I'd love to visit the Louvre with you. I miss you... in case it wasn't painfully obvious.

I hope you're getting these...it would be pretty embarrassing for me to be here pouring my heart out if you weren't. We took a tram to the top of the city, and I swear I've never seen anything more beautiful in my life. Did you know Lisbon was rebuilt after an earthquake in 1755? I'm sure you did, since you seem to know everything already, but I still thought it was pretty cool! The whole city, reborn from the ruins. Feels fitting somehow. Rhiannon got sunburned and refuses to wear a hat, but I'm working on it. She won't admit it, but I think she misses Mallory... Do you think there's something going on between them?
In case you were wondering (which I hope you are), I still miss you. The offer still stands for you to meet us in Greece if you want. I wouldn't complain, because I'm dying to see you, or at least hear your voice (stupid long distance charges).

Thanks to Rhiannon, we got lost in the streets of Venice today. Surprisingly, it turned out to be kind of fun. She tried to steer a gondola (unsuccessfully, I should add), and she had us nearly falling into the water. Still, I don't think I've laughed that hard in ages. There's something comforting about a city where getting lost is part of the charm. Oh—fun fact: gondolas have to be asymmetrical to keep from turning in circles. Who knew imperfection could be so practical?I've been slowly accumulating presents for you at every stop, and I look forward to giving them to you soon! Still wish you were here. And I love you. I don't think I've mentioned that in any of these yet, but I hope you know that I still do.

I don't think I've ever eaten this much pasta and gelato in my entire life. When we went to the beach, Rhiannon practically forced me into a bikini. I had been expecting people to stare at me I guess, but surprisingly, no one cared. Maybe it was because of the fact that a lot of people like to go naked at the beach out here. But don't worry—I didn't pay them any attention. I wouldn't want to make you feel inferior (Kidding. Please don't try to quantify the average statistical threat of naked beachgoers). I've got a pretty nasty bruise on my leg after Rhiannon launched me off a scooter. Okay.... maybe "launched" is a bit of a stretch, but it was dramatic. I'm fine, I promise. Just milking it for sympathy (and free gelato from Rhi).
It's peaceful here. If not for you, I'd probably never come home (again, kidding...mostly). Still wish you were here, in case you were wondering.
