Chapter 10: Sasuke and Sakura
A Month Later
Sasuke noticed a change in Sakura despite her anger towards him which was expected but it was different from when he first met her back in their youth; she held herself more differently with much more importance, she was as calmer even if she left him hungry for three days and the stubbornness was still there whenever he took his frustrations out on her. And despite the three day hunger incident he mentioned nothing to his parent's curios to know how she had progressed.
He also noted just how more beautiful she was if that was even possible; he regrets every single waking moment he was with her leaving someone so great for a measly woman like Karin. Right now they were in the room across Sasuke's bedroom with their daily routine.
He was taking small progressive steps holding onto the beams for support, scowl set on his face because of the pain while Sakura stood in front of him walking slowly backwards in case he made an accident which would result in falling; he rushed his movements and was about to fall when Sakura caught him "what did I say about hurrying it?"
"Hn, what would someone as useless like you know?" She growled irritated at his arrogance and insult "I'm not useless if I'm helping you!"
"Tch! Yes you are, that's why you are helping me" she growled "I was asked and I did this for your mother's sake!"
"Just leave! You're useless!" She growled and breathed in taking the reigns of her anger before saying "OK that's it! I'm going to leave you in here for the moment until your foul mood ceases so i won't get the brunt but for now goodbye"
Sakura left the room and sighed as she leaned against the door trying her best not to behave like some toddler and throw a fit "outoto giving you trouble?"
Sighing she cast a look in Itachi's direction with a soft smile answering "you have no idea" wondering exactly what he was doing here.
She could only stare entranced as Itachi chuckled and smirking at her. The man was truly beautiful in every way be it his good Uchiha genes and quiet personality Sakura always respected the man way before she married his baby brother. He had treated her kind enough after the divorce putting his mother to shame when the Uchiha matriarch had looked passed her when she bumped into the elder woman whilst shopping. It stung but she waved it off carrying on expecting the same from every Uchiha until Itachi had stopped her in the hospital asking how she was doing. It shocked her but she still responded.
"So what do you need Itachi-san?" he smirked looking at her tired form understanding his brothers difficulty and he wouldn't have taken it well had he been taking care of his foolish little brother; he was also curious to see her progress "hn, get your coat"
She frowned at his order turning her head to the side with confused emeralds asking "why?" he smirked answering "outoto is in a foul mood and I'm sure Haruno-san needs to eat"
She smiled at the idea thinking out loud as if contemplating "I'm sure Sasuke can take care of himself, so ok"
They walked down the stairs and she grabbed her coat looking a bit excited at the idea of escaping Sasuke "let's go"
As they drove in silence Sakura asked "so why have lunch?"
"I'm sure it's quite awkward to be in a home with someone who's left you with nothing especially if outoto is in a bad mood" she smiled softly and that Itachi was offering more words than what she got out of Sasuke the entire month "thanks Itachi-san"
"Hn Haruno" she smiled "Itachi-san...Sakura" he nodded understanding at her small request of offering friendship
"Itachi....Sakura" she smiled as they drove in silence; a silence she enjoyed when she was with Itachi but not a silence she got when she was with Sasuke. This was a silence you could relax to not the one that had your hair standing up on end.
