Chapter 16: Rose's are Red and the color of my heart

Sakura sighed for what seemed to be the millionth time today; she had just come out of a successful yet difficult surgery where there was a growth found while transplanting the patients healthy and new heart. She wiped her forehead and frowned; if she hadn't seen the growth the transplant would've been for nothing; she stood at the reception desk and smiled at the receptionist.

"Hi Ayumi, any patients that need me?" the young lady smiled at her superior and shook her head "no Sakura-san but there's someone waiting for you in your office"

Sakura frowned at her words because it was mandatory to know and inform who was waiting inside the office and asked just in case "who may that be?"

"I'm not going to say anything Sakura-san but they'll be waiting and they specifically asked me not to inform you as a surprise" she nodded still warily and began walking or more like stalking in the direction of her office. A bit anxious as to who would want to surprise her by visiting and asking Ayumi not to inform her.

She inhaled deeply when she stopped at her door exhaling and stepped inside; she starred at the raven chicken butt hair style that greeted her, the owner sitting comfortably in the seat in front of her desk "Sasuke?"

"Hn" she walked towards her desk then sat in her seat and sighed asking a bit worriedly in case he needed assistance with his legs or was suffering from pain whatever the case may be "what can I help you with? Your new exercises are not causing any pian if so I strongly suggest-"

"These are thanks for the help and support" she starred at him as he cut her off and seeing his out of character personality and him speaking more than one word. He gave her a beautiful bunch of fresh red roses and her face lightened at the sight of them before taking them carefully "you still remembered my favourite?"

"Aa" she continued starring at the beautiful bunch and her smile brightened loving the smell the bunch gave off thanking him not taking her eyes off the bunch "thank you, they are truly beautiful Sasuke"

He sat in his seat watching as she starred lovingly at the roses; he smirked thinking 'she's truly beautiful'

"Thanks again" she placed the roses beside her and was about o continued her routine of sorting through paperwork but Sasuke sat still unmoving from his seat quietly starring at her until she asked a bit hesitantly unsure what to do of all the attention she was receiving from the man before her "can I help you, Sasuke?"

"Hn, dinner?" she frowned at the question which sounded more and more like an order and then shook her head answering "sorry Sasuke I'm busy and I don't think we should-"

"Hn, dinner please?" she sighed, Sasuke never said please or thank you unless he was really desperate and was the only way he'd plead before her, so she might as well accept his offer and with a bit of reluctance she answered "fine"

"Hn, eight at your home" she sighed; takimg a piece of paper then scribbling on it and passed to him which he smirked at when she gave her address to him saying with a little bit of hostility in her voice "sure, I'll be ready by eight, close the door on your way out and goodbye Sasuke"

"Hn, bye" she sighed and leaned in her chair internally groaning at having dinner with the man who just wouldn't seem to want to get out of her life even with her moving on from the past and into the future. She dropped her head on her left cheek to the desk asking herself aloud whining all the more "why did I agree?"

She starred at her pile of work and groaned at the huge stack that seemed to leaning a bit to the right but not falling...just yet "curse aunt Tsunade for giving me her work"
