Chapter 12: Dinner with the Uchiha's & Friends

The door bell rang and Hinata stopped chopping drying her hands  leaving the kitchen announcing that she'll get it which Sakura smiled at and continued stirring the food.

Hinata came back a while later with two girls who looked exactly like their mother holding their hands; midnight black hair with deep azure eyes of their father and Sakura asked bending down to inspect the two with a soft smile on her face "who are these two sweety pies Hinata?"

"Sakura-chan meet Natsuki and Naomi, girls meet aunt Sakura" the girls were as shy as their mother and Sakura giggled before pulling the girls into a tight hug. She pulled away and giggled "Hinata they are as beautiful as you"

Hinata blushed a deep crimson and Sakura smiled remembering how the woman used to turn bright red whenever Naruto used to grin or look her way "there's a playroom just down the hall you can play while okaa-san is busy"

The girls brightened up and ran out the kitchen without a second notice; Sakura turned back to the food and Hinata asked "S-Sakura-chan, are you alright?"

"Yes Hinata, why wouldn't I be?" Hinata sighed at the woman whose voice was a bit shaken her head pointing down and carried on "the playroom was meant for your...."

"For my babies" she turned to Hinata; tears in her eyes and cried asking "why? Wasn't I ready to have my babies with me?"

Hinata hugged her friend and sighed whispering into the weeping woman's ear "Sakura-chan maybe it wasn't meant to be with Sasuke-san, maybe this is Kami-sama's way of letting you know it's not time"

Sakura cried into her friends shoulder until Ino barged in "forehead- what's wrong?"

"I miss them" it didn't take long for Ino to comprehend what Sakura meant by them; she sighed and spoke softly joining the embrace "Sakura...even though they are not here with you, I'm sure they are with you and Sasuke in spirit, Kami must've put them in a special place in his heaven"

She smiled and wiped her tears trying her best in the tight embrace thanking them "thanks girls you don't know how much I've needed this"

They grouped hug and the door opened "what? Group hug without me?"

Tenten joined and they giggled when Temari shuffled in too; the door bell rang and Hinata checked the clock "Naruto-kun is coming at 6"

Ino sighed "must be my troublesome boys" Sakura laughed and Ino walked to the door; Sakura turned to Tenten "Tenten I need you to set the table; add three extra plates cause Sasuke's parents and Itachi is joining"

Tenten nodded and Sakura turned to Hinata "I need to get Sasuke so I'll be back in a minute to help you"

Hinata nodded and continued making the food; Sakura left the kitchen and headed up the stairs. She knocked and entered slowly; looking at Sasuke who sat still dressed and she sighed shaking her head scolding him "you could've come down to greet the kids or help Sasuke"

He sat there not answering not even turning to cast her a glance which had her worrying calling his name again "Sasuke?"

"You've been crying, why?" She rolled her eyes and a little confused that he never glanced at her but somehow knew she had spilled a few tears "Sasuke-"

"Do you ever wonder what our kids would've looked liked Sakura?" she swallowed the lump in her throat and coughed trying her best to let the topic go "your parents will be here in a few get done or should I help you?"
