Chapter 19: Yes, I do love you

Sakura sighed as she finished the last release forms of her patient's, her mind unexpectedly went back to the night of her date with Sasuke. He was gentle, they spoke continuously about everything and the reason why she cut her hair. But when she mentioned why she did he took a lock in his hands and started playing with the lock as she starred deep into his eyes.

And later when they had left the restaurant and he pulled up to his new home she couldn't help but gasp at the beauty of it all. It had a beautiful front driveway with amazing plant's and cherry blossoms planted all over; the staircase leading to the front door was a beautiful white marbled staircase that was so shiny you could use them as a mirror. His home was lighter in tones compared to the one he resided in now and when she asked the reason of his move; he explained a bit sadly that if she was to ever casually drop by he didn't want her to be reminded of their painful past.

Sakura smiled at him with tears in her eyes and thanked him for considering her while all he could do that evening was apologize over and over for every bit of trouble he brought upon her life. And things just flowed from then onwards. 

Sakura shook her head to snap out of her revelry and frowned when she found Sasuke sitting in the seat at her desk smirking a little too smug for her liking "when did you arrive?"

He chuckled answering a bit too all knowing "while you were daydreaming" she nodded and leaned in her seat then asked with a fond smile "so what do you need?"

He smirked then responded "lunch" she sighed having been used to his random pop ups and requesting lunch; heck the staff saw so much of him that most who weren't fangirls were on first name basis with him and he knew them by name as well, not forgetting who and what their job descriptions were "okay, I need a break anyway" she stood up and locked her office, leaving with Sasuke right beside her.

He took her to the park having to already have lunch prepared in a basket and they both seated themselves on a bench in silence and he knew that she needed outdoor breaks more than anything whenever she tagged along "Sakura?"

She turned to him acknowledging him while taking small bites of her grilled cheese and tomato sandwich "Sasuke?"

"Marry me?" she froze widening eyes dropping her sandwich at the unusual request that he just thrust upon her responding with a bit of hesitation in her voice "I...I- I can't" she stood up bent on making a dash towards the hospital but he grabbed her wrist just at the nick of time "Sakura... I know it's unexpected but I want to spend the rest of my life with you, I know you don't trust me after what I did but I can't live without you, it's a bit sudden but I want us to start all over"

She sniffed holding back her tears begging while trying to remove his hand from her wrist without looking at him and he not wanting to let go until he had an answer from her at this very moment "Sasuke I can't, please just please understand, you have to let go, please I can't"

"Sakura please I'm ready to move on, there's not one night that I can't stop thinking about you or raven haired kids with green eyes, all I'm asking in fact begging is for you to marry me, that's all I'm asking marry me and I promise not to repeat to make the same mistake I made, just please answer this one question" she stopped breathing and turned to him looking at his pleading onyx eyes that starred right into her very soul. She shook her head; he didn't understand, he wouldn't understand even if she married him, she wouldn't let him suffer like that no. It would pain him to know what she knew. Sakura loved him, yes but she wouldn't want to punish him that way no. So she spoke up quietly hoping he'd understand.

"You don't understand Sasuke, when I had the miscarriage...the doctors informed me that... I'll... I'll never be able to have kids, your family won't understand Sasuke, they need an heir to continue their line and I can't give you one, I won't be able to give you what you want and need"

Sasuke allowed his tears to fall "we could adopt but I don't care as long as I am with you, nothing else matters, I want to be with you and I know you do too, this shouldn't be a punishment for what I did wrong but please Sakura just say yes, marry me?"

"Ask me again" she whispered caving in to his request and his words that just made her heart melt seeing him like this; he smirked and bent down on one knee, he opened a red velvet box with a gorgeous silver band and an emerald diamond ring that reminded Sasuke too much of her gorgeous eyes that resembled them "Haruno Sakura, will you please marry me again?"

She cried and nodding; he slipped the ring on delicately to her ring finger and wiped her tears away hugging her then proceeding to kiss her. A kiss that proved everything Sasuke had spoken and promised, passion, gentleness, sweet and toe curling.

He pulled away huffing for her and hugged her whispering many promises to her "I won't disappoint you this time, I promise to be a better husband and altogether learn from our past mistakes that I vow" she smiled and closed her eyes as he kissed her forehead. Holding her for what felt like forever until her pager went off reminding her that she was still on shift and was taking a rather long break than what she had planned.

And when she entered the hospital, ring bringing too much attention by how beautiful and bright it shined and Tsunade smirking when she ordered Sakura to promptly take the whole week off because she had explaining to do to both her parents and her best friends. Life couldn't have been any more happier for Sakura when Sasuke grabbed her over his shoulder and then thanked Tsunade leaving the grounds.

Its short but this actually isn't supposed to be written like this but it got deleted by itself somehow. And I had to rewrite three of the last part's that's why I posted these lasted night just in case.

It's edited. Oh and when I first started this story I initially planned for the couple not to end together because well, betrayal is hard to forget. But I believe in happy endings period so I changed it. Anyway thanks to those who read and voted. Love y'all. 😘😘😘😘😘
