You stood amidst the crowd, up on a balcony in the corner beside the blonde you were now acquainted with. You were all waiting for someone's entrance, who you were yet to meet. Haruka, the girl who spent the entirety of the last week introducing you to the place and its principles, beamed as you sighed.
You knew what was going to happen, and it didn't entirely upset you. Honestly, you did care about the people out there, but they weren't really 'people', so did it matter? You didn't agree with how this cult was dealing with it, nor like the idea of being part of such a group.
'At least I don't have to wear their uniform...'
"(Y/n), pay attention! He's here." Your companion quietly squealed at you, you now looking ahead and at the front of the ceremonial hall.
"Why were the metapowers, so-called quirks, brought to humanity in the past?" You stared at the blue moustached man, a long and villainous-looking cape around his body. "Why was the first metahuman, the shining baby, born into this world?"
The being continued, you questioning whether he had a quirk himself, saying that the superhuman abilities would soon be uncontrollable and become a true danger to the pure humans left.
"For humanity's future." Once Fleft Turn, as you had learnt, spoke that phrase, everyone present except yourself echoed it. "Let us begin!"
At those words, he raised a knife, pressing a button that initiated the plan.
You knew what was happening, and yet you didn't make an effort to stop it. You knew the heroes would deal with it and probably at some point come there.
Currently, you didn't want to face them. You knew what they were; how could you accept that? Sure, you didn't feel hostile towards them, just more distrust. Distrust for their capability of keeping their abilities under control.
Maybe you were influenced by Humarise and the words of those around you for the past week, but you sincerely felt that way. Whilst people were being attacked by their own selves and others around them, you only stood in the company of the reason.
You had your blade, and you weren't bound in any way physically. If you really wanted to, you could escape and help the heroes, but a deeper feeling prevented you from doing so.
The entire thing was being broadcast on the news, so you knew the heroes were coming. It was from the same news channel that reported you 'missing' from society. You weren't allowed to leave the grounds of the place even once, so you were limited to the company of Haruka and a few others.
After some time passed, you all positioned yourselves. You sighed as you left with the blonde, being told that you weren't allowed to be seen by the heroes.
'This is going to be long...'

As you entered a dark room, only a candle used for light, you could hear the ruckus and chaos outside, knowing that the heroes had probably arrived and by the sound of it, it was Endeavour's group.
"I don't get it!" The girl suddenly exclaimed, jumping on a table and crossing her legs as she sat. You had just finished locking the door before turning to her. "I get that we're seen as the villains right now to everyone else, but why won't they just understand that they're the problem?"
"Can you hear yourself right now?" Folding your arms, you raised an eyebrow at the twelve-year old. "The number one hero, his son, and his classmates, as well as a couple of others, are out there with the mission of ending this 'cult' thing."
