Chapter 14

Nakasimangot ako habang nakatingin sa dalawang babae sa harapan ko. Binabawi ko na ang sinabi kong mahal ko si Elo. Nanakit ang buong katawan ko dahil kung saan saan niya ako dinala at hinihila. I don’t have any plans to tour around the university because what I need the most is rest and a freaking sleep.

“Hmm ang sarap ng ice cream nila grabe, kahit ito na lang ang kainin ko sa araw-araw.” Parang bata na sabi ni Elo habang nakapikit siya.

“I agree, it feels like I can die now na, it’s very masarap and cold!” Sagot pabalik ni Xia na siyang nakapikit din. Katabi niya sa gilid si Kaidira at kahilera sila Neo at Rita. I wouldn’t know her name if it wasn’t for Elo calling her. 

Nakakairita sila tingnan kaya inilibot ko na lang ang paningin. We are in the dining hall, based on the flyer that I have and of course it's obvious. The wall is a transparent glass and you can see what's outside. Water, fishes, sea creatures, coral reefs etc. We are sitting at a long dining table that I don't know how many can sit. The chair is colored red with its intricate gold linings. It is elegant, almost like a throne. 

We were under the sea. The University is located here. 

So this is the reason why no one can find this school, it is under the fucking water. I must say it's impressive. Wala naman sigurong magtatangka na lumangoy sa dagat para mahanap ang University. They did well in hiding, like what they're used to. 

Biglang sumagi sa isipan ko ang Blessing Ceremony bukas, I can't deny it. I'm fucking nervous.

There are two reasons why I entered this University, first is I want to protect and be with Elo all the time. I can't bear to wake up everyday without her irritating voice and even though she didn't need my help, I would still do it. And the second one is to find the answer, if there is, in my case. I wanted to meet my parents but I prayed that he or she is not one of the Gods.

Even though it's very impossible that I'm not a descendant of a God. Hindi ko kontrolado ang kapangyarihan ko pero alam ko na hindi ito basta basta, it can erase one's existence in a snap. Which is kind of dangerous, considering that I cannot control it yet and whenever I'm using my specials it causes me my almost death.

I wish that I'm just a normal nymph, romanticising the life of nature and flowers, just wandering around and luring men.  

“Hey don’t you want to eat anything Ade?” Napatingin ako kay Kadira ng tanungin ako nito. Umiling lang ako bilang sagot. Kumibit naman siya ng balikat at muling kumain ng tahimik. Tiningnan ko ang kahilera niya at nakitang naguusap sila Neo at Rita ngunit mahina lang ito. 

I’m so bored right now, all I want is to rest and have some good shit sleep. But I know Elo wouldn’t let me.

“Grabe no kaya pala walang makakapagsabi kung nasaan ang university dahil nasa ilalim pala tayo ng dagat.” 

“Yeah that's so astig!” Narinig kong sagot pabalik ni Xia kay Elo. 

“Pero di ka ba natatakot?” Elo stated that caught my attention so I end up looking to them. “Scared of saan?” Nagtataka naman ang mukha ni Xia na nakatingin sa kanya.

“Like nasa ilalim tayo ng karagatan, maraming bagay ang posibleng mangyari. Pwedeng may shark na sumugod na lang satin dito kasi tingnan mo oh transparent yung wall—” Itinuro ni Elo haligi kung saan makikita namin ang malayang paglangoy ng mga isda. 

“—O kaya biglang masira yan at pasukin tayo ng tubig.” Nakasimangot ako na tumingin sa kanya, halatang tinatakot niya ang isa at ang babae naman ay mukhang natatakot na.
