The house was spotless, not a thing was out of place, there were people scrambling around making sure everything was in order for my dad's dinner party that was happening here tonight. To say I was stressed was an understatement; both August and Quran had noticed how stressed I was, both of them had told me that I was burning my candle at both ends, but I needed tonight to go flawlessly, I needed tonight to be perfect. Maybe I was, after this was over and done with I planned on taking a small vacation, I didn't want to go anywhere crazy... hell I wasn't even sure if I wanted to leave the Atlanta area, I just wanted to go somewhere, turn my phone off, and relax. I walked through the house and so far everything seemed to be running smoothly, the smell coming from the kitchen was making me hungry but I was too damn anxious to eat, but that wasn't even the sadest part... for the past few days I had been too anxious to do ANYTHING. I felt bad because August would pull up, exhausted from work and I knew he wanted to vent or some stress relief but I was to stressed to engage... after today he'd get all my attention... I just needed to get through tonight. As I was moving through the house, I heard a bunch of loud voices coming from the living room and I quickly went to go see who it was, Quran, Tripp, Beaux, Joseph, and Torique all walked in laughing and being loud as fuck, they were covered in sweat, smelled like outside.

"Come on man, y'all know y'all can't be here today...." I said walking over to them, I was mainly talking to everyone except for Quran who really needed to start getting ready since my dad insisted he come to this dinner party.

"Relax, we're not saying long... just gotta grab a few things and then we're out... Chill, you'll do great." Beaux said walking towards me. I avoided his eyes because the last thing I needed right now was to get caught up in his trap... but even with all my willpower all I could think about was how I was due for another threesome.

"Aight well try not to make a mess... Quran can I talk to you for a second?" I asked leading my cousin into my office.

"Jay have you been sleeping? You look terrible...." Quran said walking over to me and placing his hand on my forehead, I swatted his hand away and I moved to the other side of my desk. "I was going to say you need to sit your ass down somewhere, but the truth is you need to take your ass to bed and sleep for like a week." Quran said shaking his head.

"I plan on taking a little vacation once this is all over.... I really wanted to talk about you. I've heard that one of your friends is moving down here... what's that all about?" I asked and Quran shrugged.

"He's moving down here... he just wanted to link since he doesn't really know anyone and was wondering if I'd be willing to show him around.... Semaj knows, Semaj doesn't care because he trust me...." Quran said and I sat there wondering how much Semaj knew because I doubt he'd be okay with Quran riding around with a dude he used to fuck....

"You got it... have you talked to my dad about....." Before I could finish I heard the sound of glass shattering, I jumped up but Quran forced me back into the chair and went to go see what the issue was, a few minutes later he came back and let me know that it wasn't anything to worry about. "You and I have different definitions of what's considered a minor incident." I said running my hands down my face.

"You need an assistant... someone who can handle the little stuff so you can focus on the big stuff... Just don't ask me because I already got a job and you being my boss wouldn't work out for either of us... I might have to knock you on your ass." Quran said smiling.

"I wouldn't hire your ass anyways... You can barely read." I said smirking. "Now back to what I was saying, have you talked to my dad about...." Once again we were interrupted by a knock on the door and the party planner walked in with her binder and I could tell I wasn't going to get to finish this conversation with Quran.
