Jasmine's POV

So Lady didn't get to come to Romania with mum and I. So she is at dad's house. Mum and I left for Romania a few days after the start of summer break. And she got the whole summer off. She said we could stay in Romania as long as I wanted. We could even go visit another country if I wanted to also. But I was fine with just Romania and the Dragon Sanctuary. We'd be returning home a week before term starts. Then I'd spend the rest of summer with Dad.

But we'll worry about that later. Right now, mum and I just arrived in the Romanian dragon sanctuary by port key.  I fell to the floor when we landed. A hand sticks out to help me up. "Charlie!" I cheer and let him help me to my feet.

"Welcome to the Romanian dragon sanctuary" he says smiling. "You're room has been prepared" he adds.

"We're sleeping at the sanctuary?" I ask mum excitedly.

"Yes, we'll even be camping one weekend with Charlie. When he introduces Norbert to his mother Birgit" she tells me. I bounce excitedly.

"Calm down Jasmine, you got to learn some rules first" Charlie tells me. I look at him pouting. "It's for your own safety and the dragons" he states. "Your mum knows them already" he adds.

"Ok, what rules?" I ask.

"Don't go anywhere alone, do exactly what we tell you to and always keep your wand on you" he tells me. "Those are the main three, you can learn the others later" he states. I nod my head in understanding. He shows us to our room. We have an amazing view of the whole dragon sanctuary. "You guys are lucky, it's usually only dragon tamers that get to sleep at the sanctuary" he tells us.

"Well I did help you all find a stolen dragon" mum reminds him.

"That you did" he says chuckling. "Speaking of the Norwegian Ridge-back, we think it maybe female. And not male" he tells us.

"Really? What makes you say that?" I ask him.

"Female Ridgebacks were generally more ferocious than the males. And Norbert is quiet ferocious" he tells me.

"So what happens if he is a she? Will he or she still be called Norbert?" I ask.

"If it turns out, he is a she. We'll change his name to Norberta" he states. I nod my head in understanding.

"We'll know for sure depending on how Birgit reacts to Norbert" mum states.

"How so?" I ask her.

"Norwegain Ridge-back's can be very maternal. At least to their male offspring, but the females. Are usually chased away after they hatch and are left to fend for themselves" she tells me. "If Norbert is a girl, his mother won't let him near the nest" she states.

"Would she hurt Norbert?" I ask worried.

"We won't let it get that far" Charlie assures me. "We've already got a new home set up if Norbert is a girl. She is big enough the hunt on her own and should love the lagoon we have picked for her. Norbert would have been moved there is a few more months anyway if he is male" he explains. I nod my head in understanding.

The first day in Romania was a little boring. Charlie and mum gave me of the HQ of the dragon sanctuary. Where mum and I are staying for our holiday. Though it was cool visiting the nursery, seeing the orphaned dragon eggs. Charlie said we might get to see some hunch. Which I am excited about.

Anyway, the rest of the first week and half, Mum and I toured Romania. It was a lot of fun. We saw castles, churches, parks, the Village Museum and the Merry Cemetery. Which was a little creepy, but Mum loved it. We then went shopping for the rest of the second week.

Before going camping with Charlie as Norbert meet her mother. Turns out, he and the dragon tamers were right. Norbert is a girl and is now called Norberta. She has settled well into her new lagoon. She is growing quickly and is already bigger then Lady. In fact she is nearly the size of a Labrador retriever already.

Anyway, after that weekend. Charlie took mum and I on a tour of the whole dragon sanctuary. We got to visit each dragon habit and see them all. We never got to close though. But it was still amazing seeing real life dragons. Especially, watching some hatch at the nursery. One of the dragons even imprinted on me. He is a Common Walsh Green and I called him Emerald.

It was an amazing trip. But now it is time to go home. Dad had already gotten me my school supplies for the year. Apparently I needed all of Lockhart's books. According to the Daily Prophet mum had gotten where there was a photo of him with Harry at Flourish and Blotts. Lockhart is our new defense teacher this year. I can't believe Dumbledore hired him, neither can mum. Unlike most other witches, mum and I are not fans of his. Dad would be a much better defense against the dark arts teacher.

Lady was overjoyed when I got home. She wouldn't get off of my lap until dinner. But I didn't mind, I had missed her too. And dad. I know he missed me too. Though he doesn't show it. Anyway, I go back to school tomorrow and I can't wait to ask the others about their summers. As I haven't written to anyone all summer, maybe I should get an owl next summer. So that I can stay in contact with my friends. I'll think about it.
