Jasmine's POV
So Norbert, the baby Norwegian Ridge-back is back in Romania and is settling in well. Harry, Hermione, Ron and Draco had detention with Hagrid in the Forbidden Forrest. Where Harry had had a run in with Voldemort and was saved by a Centaur called Firenze. I overheard him and the others talking about it. I told my dad and he assured me he'd handle it. That I should focus on my exams and avoid being alone with Professor Quirrell.
Speaking of exams. I believe I passed everything. Mum said if I passed everything, she'd take me to Romania for the school holidays. So I hope I pasted everything. Anyway, I am on my way to meet up with Hermione and the others outside. So that we can enjoy the sun. I had to return some books to the library first though. Which I did. Hermione told me they'd be by the lake. So that is where I am heading.
"Miss Snape!" a voice calls as I walk down an empty corridor. I turn to see Professor Quirrell and gulp. Wishing I had my wand.
"Yes professor, can I help you with something?" I ask him.
"I just wanted to talk to you about your exam results" he states and I frown. Not only is he not stuttering, but he wants to talk to me about my exam results. Why? I've always passed with high marks in his class. So what would we have to talk about?
"Can we talk about it later Professor?" I ask him. "It's just I was on my way to visit my friends at the lake" I tell him.
"It won't take but a moment of your time" he tells me.
"I really should go, I am already late and I am sure my friends are worried about me" I state.
"I'm afraid you won't be meeting them today" he tells me drawing his wand. I back away as he points it at me. "Imperio" he says and a wave of calm goes through me. "Follow me" his voice says in my head and it feels like the right thing to do. So I follow him to the third floor.
(With trio) Third Persons POV
The trio had just warned McGonagall that someone was gonna try steal the stone. She didn't believe them and told them how Dumbledore was away at the ministry. "That was no stranger Hagrid met in the village. It was Snape. Which means he knows how to get past Fluffy" Harry tells the others.
"And with Dumbledore gone" Hermione says.
"Good afternoon" Snape says as he rounds the corner. He eyes the three of them, wondering where his daughter is. "Now, what would three young Gryffindors such as yourselves be doing inside on a day like this?" he asks them.
"We were..." Hermione tries to say and can't think of a lie.
"You ought to be careful. People will think you're up to something" Snape tells them. "By the way, where is my daughter? Was she not hanging out with you three today?" he asks before letting them leave.
"She never showed up" Hermione tells him and he frowns. "She was returning books to the library and was supposed to meet us. But never did" she explains. He frowns and leaves to go search for his daughter. Praying that she is ok. "Now what do we do?" she asks the other two.
"We go down the trapdoor. Tonight" Harry states.
"But what about Jasmine?" Hermione asks.
"I'm sure she's fine, she probably just meet up with my brothers" Ron assures her.
"Besides Snape wouldn't hurt his daughter, the stone is our main priority" Harry adds. Hermione agrees reluctantly. Though she can't help but worry for her first friend.
(Under-school) Jasmine's POV
I kept trying to fight the imperious curse, but my mind isn't strong enough. My dad will be so disappointed when he finds out. I just stood by while Quirrell got the key, won the chess match, and dealt with the troll. But we're now at the test my father had designed. I feel the curse lift once the fire appears.
"Now, for the reason I brought you. Solve the riddle" he tells me.
"No, I won't let you take the stone" I tell him firmly.
"So brave, no wonder you were in Gryffindor" he chuckles. He points his wand at me.
"I'm just a child, what makes you think I can solve this riddle?" I ask him.
"Because you are your father's daughter" he states. "Oh and don't think of trying to trick me. You will be drinking the potion first and go through the flames" he tells me.
"You can't make me" I tell him. He sighs drawing his wand and points it at me. I step back and bump into the table.
"Don't test me Miss Snape" he sneers. "Now solve the riddle" he orders. I nod mutely and turn to the table. Picking up the scroll and read it before eyeing the potions. "Hurry up" he snaps.
"I don't have much experience with riddles, I need time to figure it out. Or risk picking the wrong potion" I tell him. Not facing him. Which is true, if I didn't already know which was the right one.
"Make it quick or suffer my displeasure" he sneers. I gulp and nod my head. I knew I could only stall him for so long. I just pray he won't be able to pass Dumbledore's test and that someone will come to save me before it's to late.
"It's this one" I state picking up the smallest bottle.
"Well drink it" he orders. I sigh and uncork it. I take a sip and feel a rush of cold go through me. I hand him the bottle and rush through the fire. Hoping to find a way out. But I only find an open chamber with a mirror inside. Strange. I approach it curious, wondering why Dumbledore's test would involve a mirror. I see some writing and squint to read it.
But before I could, Quirrell appears. "Your usefulness has ended" he states and suddenly a red bolt of light hits me. And my world goes dark.
