The next morning I arrived at my work with a smile.
'Why are you smiling,' an other maid said. 'You're at work...'
'I don't know. Can I clean up the 2nd floor?' I asked.
'Why?' 'Just because...' she cut me off
'Hmm... let me guess. There's a boy in room 283 who is adorable,' she said laughing.
283 was Thomas's room. I turned bright red.
'Uh... no,' I lied. 'Why?'
'Because you took 2 hours to clean up that room, Aline,' she said still laughing.
'I didn't.'
'Yes you did, honey. Now go to your boy,' she teased pointing to the stairs.
I laughed and put on an apron and ran to the stairs. I knocked on Thomas's door and waited for two minutes untill the door opened.
His girlfriend opened the door and she just came out of her bed. Her hair was messy and she wore a shirt, which was probably Thomas's. 'What?' she asked a little bitchy.
'I'm coming to clean up,' I said with a smile.
She sighed and opened the door a little bit more.
I walked in slowly and began to sweep the room.
The girl went in the bedroom and I was all alone. When she came out she took her purse from the table and left the hotelroom.
With my back I opened the doors as I sweep the room. I came to the bedroom and opened the door.
Thomas was sitting shirtless on his bed.
'Oh god, I'm so sorry I thought you went with you girlfriend and-'
He cut me off. 'No problem,' he said smiling. 'Still don't want the romantic story?'
'Ew, no. If I would want to hear that kind of stories, I would read Fifty shades of grey.'
He laughed. 'You're crazy.'
'Thanks,' I said. 'Now get dressed and leave, then I can clean your room... again.'
He put on a blue shirt and streched. Then he walked passed me and closed the door.
I began to sweep the room, and left the room when I was ready.
Thomas was playing the guitar and it sounds amazing.
'Woah, where did you learn that?' I asked pointing to his fingers which were touching the guitar.
'I've taught myself.'
'Really? It's wonderful.'
'Thanks,' he said smiling. 'Want me to teach you to play the guitar?'
'No thanks, I have to work,' I replied.
'Come on, it's not that hard.'
'No, maybe later. When do you leave this hotel?' I asked.
'We'll stay untill Laura and me found a house.'
'Cool.'
'Yeah, I'd rather have a real home. Not a hotelroom,' he said.
'I understand,' I said while I dusted off the windows.
'Aline, can I ask you something?' Thomas asked.
'You already did,' I said laughing.
'Ok, can I ask you two other questions?'
'That's one, and sure, go ahead.'
'You can be our maid to,' he said.
'Excuse me?' I said shocked. 'You can't force me to clean up for you when you have a own house,' I said laughing.
'I'm sure I can,' he replied walking to the kitchen. 'Want a drink?' 'Yes, please.'
He came back with two cups filled with coca cola.
'Thanks,' I said before I took a sip.
'No problem.'
'So you're going to move with your girlfriend?'
'Yeah, we already have seen a house we liked, but she still want to wait,' he said.
'Why?'
'I don't even know.'
'Can I ask you something what is pretty rude?' I asked.
He laughed. 'Sure.'
'Do you really like her?'
His smile dissapeared and he opened his mouth but didn't speak.
