The next day it was a normal day: I woke up, worked, and went to home. I didn't heard anything of Thomas. I only met Laura in the elevator. She didn't said anything. But the next morning I went to my work and took the elevator to the second floor. The elevator stopped at the first floor and the doors opened. I could feel how my heart skipped a beat. My eyes met Thomas's. He didn't said anything and walked slowly in to the elevator. He pressed the button and the elevator started to move again. But then suddenly it stopped. And I wasn't at the second floor yet. We still don't say anything. Hoping the elevator start move again, but it didn't. 'I think... it's stuck,' Thomas said after a minute.
'No, are you kidding me, captain Obivious. I didn't noticed that,' I said.
'Great...' he mumbled. 'Don't you got a key or something?'
'Do I look like a technician? I'm a maid...' I said a little annoyed.
'Then you have the key to the rooms, haven't you?'
'Yes. The rooms, yes. Now... does this like a room? Don't think so...' I said sighing.
'Hmh,' he mumbled. 'What are we supposed to do now?'
'Thomas... look on your left... there's an alarm button. Just push it. Do I have to explain how? You stretch your finger and-' Thomas cut me off.
'Stop it. I fucking know how to push a button.'
'Woah Einstein. Good job.'
Thomas pushed the button twice, but there was no change.
'Great... It's also stuck.'
'Do you got your phone with you?' I asked.
'Yes,' he said and he took his phone.
Are you going to wait until I said you have to call someone? Come on, where are your brains?' I said.
Thomas looked to his phone and started to call someone.
'My phone doesn't work,' he said.
'Yay, stuck with you in an elevator. My dream is coming true...' I said rolling my eyes and I sat down at the corner.
Thomas sat down across me and tapped on the wall.
'Don't do that.'
'Why?'
'Because you're on my nerves,' I said sighing.
He stopped tapping on the wall and threw his head backwards. A grown left his mouth. 'I want to get out of here!'
'Why? It's fun right?' I said sarcastically as possible.
He stood up and started beating on the door.
'Stop!' I shouted to get over his beats.
'Why?'
'Because nobody would hear us.'
He sighed. 'We're stuck for ever, aren't we?'
'Yes Thomas. For ever. You will die right here...'
'What if we do not get more oxygen? We'll choke.'
'Thomas we won't, the elevator isn't completely closed. There are still a few chinks where air can get through,' I said pointing to a little chink.
He sighed, sat down again and pulled his knees to his head.
'So... why did you pretend like you didn't knew me?'
'My... I thought... I actually don't know. I was afraid.'
'Afraid?' I asked.
'Yeah, I was afraid that Laura would be mad.'
'You think she'll be okay with the fact you're stuck in the elevator with the maid?' I asked.
He shook his head. 'But I actually don't care. We didn't asked for this, so she can't blame us.'
I nodded. 'So...' I said to break the awkward silence.
'Hows your day so far?' he asked.
