Chapter 33: Awakening in the Mist
Kirigakure, Hours Later: A Storm in the Sky
The skies above Kirigakure churned with storm clouds, rain lashing the jagged cliffs and mist-shrouded islands like a relentless drumbeat. The Honored One, hovered high above, his white hair whipping in the gale, black shades glinting under flashes of lightning. His spatial teleportation, had carried him from Konoha’s warmth to this war-torn realm in a blink, his Six Eyes blazing with purpose.
Naruto’s enhanced vision, pierced the mist, scanning Kirigakure’s heart. The Mizukage’s tower loomed, its spire cutting the storm like a blade. There, in a dimly lit office, sat Yagura Karatachi, the Fourth Mizukage, his diminutive form hunched over papers, staff clutched tightly. Naruto’s eyes narrowed, detecting a disturbance in Yagura’s chakra network, a writhing, unnatural pulse, like a parasite gnawing at his soul. “Gotcha,” Naruto muttered, his smirk pure Gojo swagger. “Time to cut the puppet strings.”
Below, Kiri’s patrol shinobi spotted him, their shouts swallowed by the storm. “Intruder in the sky!” a jōnin barked, kunai drawn, his chakra flaring. Others joined, water jutsu coiling like serpents, ready to strike. Naruto ignored them, his Limitless barrier, shimmering faintly, rendering their efforts futile. His focus was Yagura, the key to Kirigakure’s salvation and Isobu’s freedom.
Naruto’s free hand glowed with a cerulean light, Blue’s gravitational pull humming with cosmic force. He extended his fingers, and the air warped, a magnetic tug seizing Yagura’s form. In the Mizukage’s office, Yagura’s eyes widened, his coral staff gripped tightly as an unseen force yanked him upward. The roof shattered, wood and stone exploding outward, as Yagura was hurled into the sky, his ANBU guards, masked specters in black, leaping after him in shock.
Yagura’s body soared through Kirigakure, guided by Blue’s relentless pull, a comet streaking past rooftops and bridges. The village blurred beneath him, civilians screaming, shinobi scrambling, the storm amplifying the chaos. His journey ended in a forest clearing on Kiri’s outskirts, where he crashed into the earth, dirt and roots erupting in a crater. The ANBU landed nearby, weapons drawn, but hesitated, sensing a power beyond them.
Yagura rose, his hair matted with rain, his boyish face twisted in a glare of cold fury. His staff gleamed, coral pulsing with chakra. Above, Naruto descended, hand glowing with Blue, his black jacket soaked but his grin unshaken. The forest trembled, trees swaying as their energies clashed, a prelude to a storm of their own.
Naruto snapped his fingers, and a Curtain unfurled, an invisible barrier sealing the clearing in a invisible dome. The ANBU pounded against it, their jutsu fizzling, trapped outside. Yagura’s eyes narrowed, his chakra spiking, sensing the trap but unyielding.
Naruto swayed into a drunken stance, sake’s lingering haze blending with his Gojo-esque bravado. His shades slipped low, Six Eyes blazing like twin stars. “Yo, Yagura Karatachi, Fourth Mizukage,” he drawled, voice a velvet blade. “Name’s Naruto Gojo, the Honored One. Time to wake you up from this nightmare you’re stuck in.” His smirk was a challenge, his title a declaration.
Yagura’s glare sharpened, his staff spinning with lethal grace. “Naruto Gojo? How dare you invade my domain?” His voice was a low hiss, laced with cruelty. “You speak of nightmares, boy, but you’re the one trespassing. I’ll carve your title into your grave!” His chakra surged, coral spikes erupting from the ground, water coalescing into a tidal wave, his Jinchūriki power unleashed. Yet, beneath his fury, the disturbance in his chakra pulsed, a shadow of control, Obito’s Sharingan, binding his will.
Naruto’s grin widened, Limitless shimmering as the coral and water halted inches from him, repelled by infinity. “Grave? Been there, done that. Let’s dance, Mizukage. I’m freein’ you and Isobu, whether you like it or not!” The clearing erupted, Blue clashing with Yagura’s water jutsu, the Honored One’s resolve a beacon in Kiri’s storm.

Across the Shinobi World: Whispers of Warning
As Naruto faced Yagura, the Tailed Beasts stirred within their jinchūriki, their voices echoing in the minds of Gaara, Yugito Nii, Roshi, Han, Utakata, Fū, and Killer B. The Akatsuki’s shadow loomed, and the prophecy of the Jūbi’s revival spurred them to act.
In Sunagakure, Gaara sat in his Kazekage office, sand swirling protectively. Shukaku’s voice grated in his mind, childish and bombastic, his “ore-sama” pride soured by Naruto’s victory. “Oi, brat, don’t make me say this twice!” Shukaku snarled, his tanuki form flickering in Gaara’s psyche. “That Akatsuki bunch is huntin’ our power. Watch your back, or I’ll bury you myself!” His tone was begrudging, resentment for Naruto’s victory and human distrust clear, yet his warning carried weight, a reluctant nod to Gaara’s strength.
Gaara’s eyes narrowed, sand tightening. “Understood, Shukaku. I’ll protect Suna.” His calm resolve, forged by Naruto’s influence and his siblings/village forgiveness.
In Kumogakure, Yugito Nii trained in a mountain dojo, her claws gleaming. Matatabi’s polite purr filled her mind, her blue flames serene. “Watashi brings grave tidings, Yugito-san,” she said, formal and respectful. “The Akatsuki seek our power for a dire purpose. Stay vigilant.” Her courtesy masked urgency, her trust in Yugito absolute.
Yugito nodded, claws flexing. “I’ll be ready, Matatabi. Kumo won’t fall.” Her fierce loyalty mirrored her beast’s grace.
In Iwagakure, Roshi meditated in a volcanic crater, lava bubbling. Son Gokū’s gruff “ore” tone cut through, his ape-like form bristling. “Hey, Roshi, don’t call me Four-Tails again, got it?” he snapped, irritated by the moniker. “Akatsuki’s after us, plannin’ to revive the Jūbi. Keep your eyes peeled, old man.” His pride clashed with human distrust, but his respect for the Sage urged caution.
Roshi chuckled, stroking his beard. “My apologies, Son. Thamks for the warning.” His lava cloak flared, honoring his beast’s name.
In a misty valley, Han towered in his steam armor, his quiet demeanor unshaken. Kokuō’s serene “watakushi” voice whispered, her horse-like form calm. “The Akatsuki threaten our kin, Han. Their ambition endangers all. Be wary.” Her reserved pride warmed, sensing Han’s strength.
Han nodded, steam hissing. “I understand, Kokuō. We’ll stand firm.” His silence belied a fierce resolve.
Near a coastal village, Utakata wandered, bubbles floating. Saiken’s energetic “ore” chirped, his slug form jiggling with Ōsakaben flair. “Oi, Utakata, big trouble! Akatsuki’s huntin’ us to bring back the Jūbi! Stay sharp, yeah?” His kindness shone, eager to protect his jinchūriki.
Utakata’s eyes softened. “Thank you, Saiken. I’ll keep moving.” His bubbles tightened, a shield born of trust.
In a forest glade, Fū danced, her wings buzzing. Chōmei’s happy-go-lucky “Lucky Seven” tone buzzed, his beetle form cheerful. “Yo, Fū, Lucky Seven Chōmei’s got news! Akatsuki’s after our power, super unlucky! Stay lucky, okay?” His playful warning carried loyalty, mirroring Fū’s spirit.
Fū grinned, twirling. “Got it, Chōmei! We’ll outluck ‘em!” Her wings flared, ready for battle.
In Kumogakure’s cliffs, Killer B rapped, ink flowing. Gyūki’s tough “ore” growled, his octopus-bull form serious. “Yo, B, Akatsuki’s comin’ for our power, aimin’ for the Jūbi. Don’t slack, fool!” His analytical mind urged caution, his respect for B clear, despite comedic annoyance.
B smirked, pen spinning. “No worries, Gyūki, we’ll bust their plan with style!” His rhymes pulsed, synced with his beast’s strength.
The warnings rippled, a network of defiance against the Akatsuki’s shadow, each jinchūriki and beast united by Naruto’s vow, their fates converging in a world teetering on chaos.
