Chapter 8
POV Luna
I was being dragged to the Shrieking Shack by the Carrows, Neville running after me but constantly being hit with Stupefy. Fear filled me, and I imagined what the Shrieking Shack would look like. Cold, dark, grey... But that image vanished as I thought about my dad. "Never let fear come in between you and your task," he used to say. A tear trickled in my eye.
"Hey! No crying little girl! Do you want to spend another night in the hell your staying in today?" Alecto laughed evilly.
I glared at the Carrows, who were now laughing at my fashion skills. I made a very rude gesture to them, which caused Neville to laugh from the ground. Unfortunately, the Carrows saw and pulled out their wands.
"Cruci-" the Carrows both fell to the ground, with Neville, who had just recovered from his last Stupefy on top of them. He was kicking and punching them, and I think I knew why he got so angry when the Carrows had tried to use the Crucio spell on me.
"You-" punch. "Dare-" kick. "Use-" punch kick. "That-" punch. "Damned spell again-" punch. "You- will- PAY!"
The Carrows blacked out on Neville's last words, and he fell to his knees. Although he was trying to hide it, I could see glassy eyes.
"Neville..." I gave him the biggest hug ever. "It's okay. Don't let the past hurt you."
"First my parents... Then my grandmother... I have no-one," he sobbed.
"Neither do I. But you know what? We have each other."
Neville looked up at me and muttered "Your the closest person to me right now. I love you."
We kissed for a whole minute.
The Carrows suddenly jumped up and said "It takes more than to just knock us out! And how dare you use that disgusting L word... Now. Where was I?"
"Run," Neville whispered.
As we ran for our lives, there were spells shooting all around us. We just laughed and I stuck my tongue out to the Carrows.
When we finally reached the castle and raced up to the Great Hall, I glanced out the window and saw two hopeless figures running - no, let's say limping - to the castle.
"Um, hi guys!" Ginny said, appearing around the corner.
"Ginny! Hi! We were just being chased by the Carrows. They were in a pretty bad mood."
Ginny laughed and muttered something about how they're never in a good mood.
"There's only one solution for our situation," Neville said, ruffling his hair. "We have to open Dumbledore's Army again."
