Thanks for the request!😁

It was a cold, gray morning. The wind was blowing through the empty streets, and clouds hung low over the schoolyard, as if announcing rain. You stood in front of the school, pulling your jacket collar tight, watching the path where Shu usually came from. And then you saw him.

He was walking slowly, his school bag hanging off one shoulder, the other hand pressed against his forehead. His usually calm and steady posture now looked unstable, almost limp. As he approached, you instantly knew something was wrong.

"Shu?" you asked, stepping toward him with concern, gently placing your hand on his arm. "You don't look well. Are you okay?"

"Just... a bit of a headache. It's nothing," he said softly, but his voice lacked the strength you loved so much. His gaze was foggy, and his cheeks unusually red. You were sure-he had a fever.

"Shu, you're sick. You shouldn't go to class," you said firmly. "Let's go to my place. You'll be warm and can rest."

"I can't... We have a chemistry test today..." he tried to argue, but you cut him off.

"You're sick, Shu. Your health is more important than a test. You already know everything anyway. No one will blame you for resting today."

Shu was silent for a few seconds, then nodded quietly. He didn't have the energy to argue, and he knew you were right.

You led him to your house. The walk wasn't long, but even those ten minutes were exhausting for him. He leaned on your shoulder, and you could feel how his body trembled from the fever. Your heart ached with worry.

When you arrived, you brought him to your room and helped him lie down. You covered him with a soft blanket and rushed to the kitchen to make tea. You came back with a warm mug, sat beside him, and gently held it while he took small sips.

"Thank you..." he said hoarsely, looking at you sincerely. "I know I'm stubborn. But you always know what I need."

"Because I love you," you whispered, brushing his hair gently and smiling. "And because I won't let you suffer alone when you're sick."

Shu gave you a faint smile and closed his eyes, resting against the pillow.

"I love you too... And thank you for caring about me... more than I care for myself."

You stayed by his side all morning. While he napped, you changed his cold compress, checked his temperature, and softly hummed a song he liked. At one point, he opened his eyes and said quietly:

"You know... When I was little and got sick, no one would sit by my side like this... They'd forget I was even home. But now... now for the first time, I feel like someone truly cares."

Your heart trembled. You leaned down and kissed his forehead.

"You'll never be alone again, Shu. I'll always be here, to hold your hand... in health and in fever."

You both laughed gently, and his smile-though weak-was genuine. You were happy to be there, to give him comfort and peace.

In the afternoon, he finally fell into a deeper sleep, more relaxed. You sat beside him, sketching in your notebook and glancing at him now and then. Thoughts of how much he meant to you circled your mind. He was more than just your boyfriend-he was your safe place, someone you understood and who understood you.

Later that day, Shu woke up feeling a little better. Still weak, but the fever had gone down.

"Did I ruin your day?" he asked softly.

"No. You made it better. We spent time together, and that's what matters most."

Shu leaned toward you with a weak motion and held your hand.

"Next time you're not feeling well... I'll take care of you. I promise."

"Okay. Then we'll take care of each other," you said, gently squeezing his hand.

The day ended quietly, in the warmth of the room and the warmth of your shared glances. It didn't matter that you skipped school, that the wind was blowing outside, or that everything was gray. Your world was small, peaceful, and full of love-just what Shu needed that day.
