Ukai-san sent them off on a break since the team had time to spare before the next match, though he warned them not to overeat. "There's onigiri in my bag and some snacks in Y/N's." Kiyoko starts when Ukai-san and Takeda-san leave. "You can take some, but don't eat until full. We don't want anybody throwing up on the court."
Yuu was the first one to the bags, grabbing two rice balls and a bottle of water before rushing back to his partner's side. "Wanna share?" Y/N nods patiently, as Yuu messily divides a rice ball, staring at the uneven halves before handing him the bigger half. "I know you don't like eating a lot, but you need energy too!"
Taking the rice ball, he carefully stuffed the tuna that almost spilled back inside, slowly eating as he followed Yuu back to the concessions. "Did I remember to bring my wallet...?" Shimizu heard Yuu whisper to himself as he patted the pockets of his warm-up, audibly exhaling in relief when he felt it.
Shino turned around, a piece of furikake stuck to the corner of his lips as he asked, "You don't mind that I pay, right? I wanna treat my boyfriend to something nice since he's doing so much for the team."
Immediately, Y/N's cheeks flushed, and he gestured for Yuu to keep quiet. "...y-you can't s-say such t-t-things in p-public!" He whisper-yelled, blushing harder when Yuu giggled. "Sorry, moonlight. I'll keep it down so my compliments are for your ears only, okay?"
Despite the apparent flirting in his apology, Shimizu accepted it regardless. When they reached the concessions, Shimizu calmed down, and Yuu finished his rice balls. He put the almost-empty water bottle in one pocket and his wallet in the other.
Like déjà vu, a similar glint of entrancement in his eyes. "Can we get matching jewelry? Please, Mimi?"
Y/N felt his heart tighten. How could he say no to a face like that?
The matching jewelry storealready had a crowd, thankfully not nearly big enough to deter Y/N from going. A young man, maybe in his early twenties, comes to attend to them the moment they approach. "Welcome to Bonded Infinitely! Do you see anything that piques your interest?"
Shimizu's eyes scan over their price and menu list. They had permanent rings, anklets, bracelets, earrings, and necklaces. His eyes narrowed in thought. They wouldn't get bracelets since they would get in the way of volleyball, which also crossed out rings and anklets from the list. Yuu didn't have pierced ears, and Y/N liked the freedom of changing his earrings based on his outfit.
The only option left was matching necklaces.
Shimizu pointed at the display, and the older man smiled. "Necklaces, hm? Am I right to assume you two are getting matching ones?"
The two nod.
"Would you like gold or silver?"
Shimizu's thoughts are troubled. Yuu frequently wears gold—he wore it on their date, but Shimizu prefers silver over gold. What if they switched their regular colors?
