• Jordan's POV •
When I woke up, my eyes were sticky. Memories came flooding into my mind and I remembered why. I could feel Will's fingers tracing small shapes on my back, my face pressed into his chest. I didn't want to let Will know that I was awake. I wanted to live in this moment forever. Will's chin was sitting on top of my head and he was holding me. I never knew how much I needed this until now. Will's shirt was damp from my tears. I couldn't bear it anymore so I looked up at Will and he smiled.
"Good morning, sweetheart," he said quietly which made a blush spring to my cheeks.
"How long have I been asleep?" I asked.
"A few hours," he said, brushing some hair from my face, his fingertips barely grazing my skin. It was completely dark outside.
"You've been awake?" I asked.
"I didn't want to sleep," he said quietly. I gave him a look of confusion and he let out a giggle. "It's going to sound dumb,"
"Tell me," I pleaded, a smile on my face. I was still wrapped in his arms.
"I didn't want to miss a single second of getting to hold you," he said, his cheeks turning a bright pink. He looked absolutely adorable. I extended my neck so that I could place a soft kiss on his lips. When I pulled away, I set my head back onto his chest, listening to his heartbeat. He ran his fingertips up and down my back. I couldn't keep the smile off of my face.
"What time is it?" I asked after a few minutes.
"I have no idea," Will answered. I grabbed my phone from the bedside table and looked. It was almost one am. I had nine missed calls from my mom and I sighed. I dialed her number and called her.
"Where the hell are you?" She asked as soon as she picked up the phone.
"I'm sorry, I fell asleep," I said.
"Where are you?" She repeated. I hesitated for a second.
"I'm at Victoria's," I said, looking up at Will. I was still wrapped up in his arms.
"I'm not dumb, Jordan," she said. "I know you're with that boy. Get home. Now," she said.
"Victoria and I are just finishing up a project. Don't worry, I'm just going to spend the night," I answered, hanging up. I couldn't help but laugh.
"Victoria, huh?" Will asked, a smile on his face as well.
"I think it's funny how I told her that I was with a girl when I was actually in my boyfriend's arms," I said, laughing.
"Boyfriend," Will repeated, his smile growing wider. I realized what I said and then buried my head into Will's chest so he couldn't see me blush. "I like it," Will said, placing his fingers under my chin and turning my face to his. He gave me a small kiss and smiled.
"Oh, I can spend the night here tonight, right?" I asked.
"No," he said but he couldn't keep back his smile and we both started laughing. I didn't want to move, ever. This moment is too perfect.
"I haven't been this happy in a really long time," I said, looking up to make eye contact with Will. Instead of responding, he kissed my forehead.
"Oh," Will's mom said from the doorway.
"Hey, mum," Will said. I sat up, a bit embarrassed that Will's mom had just witnessed that kiss.
"I was just stopping in to say goodnight but looks like you're still up. I just got home from work, so I'm gonna go sleep. Make sure you get rest for school. Oh and hi, Jordan, nice seeing you again," she said. I gave her a small wave and she left, closing the door behind her. I looked over at Will and he smiled.
"I already told her that I like you," he said. A million butterflies seemed to be flapping around in my stomach.
"Mum," I said, mocking his accent. He hit me playfully on the shoulder while our laughs filled the air at one am on a school night.
