• Will's POV •

By the time I got home from my first day of school, I was just as confused as I was overwhelmed. I had multiple worksheets and other random books that I scattered onto my floor. I didn't have much homework since it was prom weekend but I still had to get caught up with my classes.

I'm picking you up tomorrow at 5:30 Jordan texted me. He insisted that he got my number. What I don't understand is why he asked me to prom. What I don't understand even more is why I said yes. I mean, I have nothing to lose. It's not like I would go with anyone else. Well there is Victoria. But she seems like she's a little too high maintenance for me. Plus, maybe I'll actually make a few friends. Jordan does seem pretty popular. Maybe confusing is good. I need to take a step out of my comfort zone every once in awhile.

"How was your first day?" My mum asked, causing me to jump. She closed my bedroom door behind her and sat on my bed.

"God, mum, can't you knock?" I asked. She smiled.

"I just want to hear about everything" she said.

"Do you know where my old suit is?" I asked. She looked confused. Why is everyone so god damn confused?

"I think it's in one of the bags in my room, why? Do you need it?" She asked.

"Uh yeah. I'm kinda going to prom tomorrow" I said. I braced myself for her excitement but it didn't do much good.

"You're going to prom! With who? I'm glad you're making friends! Or a girlfrienddddd" she said, raising her eyebrows.

"I'm going with a... friend. Well I wouldn't call him a friend. I don't know why I'm going actually" I explained.

"A boyfriend?" She asked, excitedly. "Do you like him?"

"Mum, I'm not gay" I said. Her eyebrows were still raised.

"Okayyyy" she said. "But if you were, you know I'd support you" she added.

"Mum," I said, giving her a look. She held up her hands in innocence.

"Is he cute, though?" She asked.

"Get out" I said, standing up and leading her out of my room.

"Let's go buy you a new suit for prom, okay?" She asked, halfway out the door.

"Okay," I said.

"Let's go now" she said with a smile, grabbing my arm and pulling me out the door with her. I let out a small groan but I followed anyways, a smile playing on my lips.

"Are you guys matching colors or anything? Are you buying him a corsage? Is he buying you a corsage?" My mom asked as I changed in the dressing room.

"No, it's fine. I just need to get a suit" I said. "Don't worry" I could hear her excitement through the door as she let out little shrieks. I pulled the jacket over my shoulders. I liked this one. It fit me pretty well.

What color is your tie? Jordan texted me. I looked down at it. A dark blue tie was matched against the suit.

Blue I replied quickly. Jordan didn't really seem like that asshole anymore. He actually seemed kind of sweet. I'm looking forward to prom. Hopefully he remains as he is and he doesn't turn back into that complete ass again.
