Charlotte shivered involuntarily as she entered the pitch black room that was supposed to be a 'lecture theatre', she grabbed at Niki's hand and Niki gave her a little squeeze as they tried to find out where to sit.

"Everyone quickly sit" A posh voice came from somewhere in the front, causing Niki to groan

"On the floor" The woman added hurriedly as many students quickly sat on the floor.

"Good, we can switch on the lights now" Instantly the lights turned on and Charlotte widened her eyes as she took in the antique decor of the room and the dull colours.

"Good evening faeries of The Five Fae Elements Institution, as new students here you will be taken through the procedure and the rules of this school" The lady said in her posh voice as she breezed around the front of the room as if she was walking on air, it was rather fascinating to watch.

"I am Madam Elvorn, and yes you may address me as, well" She paused and smiled wryly "Madam Elvorn" She laughed a little, at what? Charlotte had no idea.

"I'm sure you've all received your schedule, locker keys, books, files and those, if you haven't, Miss Barons over there" She gestured to the receptionist lady Charlotte saw earlier on in the day 

"Who is the receptionist will hand you your files and help you with your problems, what you haven't received are the little details" She clapped her hands twice and the lights went off.

"The little details, are seen by many as merely little details, not many have the mind to be able to think, what would a piece of work be, without the 'little details', and here in Five Elements Fae Institution, we will mold you part by part into the accomplished faery you all ought to be"

Charlotte was quite sure every student could feel the ice emanating off her.

Madam Elvorn clicked her fingers an a projection appeared from her palm, taking up the whole front wall like a big screen in a theatre.

"Everyone will sit through this video of a brief history of faeries, I want everyone to watch this, if anyone falls asleep we will be able to sense it and there will be consequences" 

Charlotte giggled -to her own surprise-, catching even Niki off guard and a few faeries turned to stare at her, it was so ridiculous, 'consequences' on the first day? That's stupid she thought to herself.

"Miss Rodrigues, do you find something humorous in my speech?" Madam Elvorn inquired, narrowing her eyes.

"No, sorry, ma'am" Charlotte said softly, immediately recovering from her giddy mood, she looked at Niki who was covering her mouth, laughing silently.

The sound of soft music brought everyone's attention to the projection in front of them and pictures of four very royal looking faeries stood together, all four of them looking intimidatingly powerful, it was already obvious that these must be extremely important faeries, Charlotte just didn't know who they were.

She stared at the other faeries who 'ohhhh-ed' knowingly in unison, the kind of 'ohh' you express when someone explains a joke that you didn't get at first, she looked quizically at Niki, who's mouth was open in shock.

"Psst" I whispered in Niki's ear "Who are they?" 

Niki raised her brows in shock "Are you serious? These faeries are The Four of The Light, in short The Four Faeries" She replied smoothly

"How do you know?" I asked her

She gave me another amused glance "Dude, everyone knows" 

I settled back in my cross-legged position and watched the words that appeared on the screen.
