Charlotte

Charlotte avoided the puddles as she slowly made her way towards the main entrance of the Five Elements Fae Institution, she looked back at her loving parents who were still waving with smiles on their faces, it broke her heart to think how much they'd miss her and how much she'd miss them, ever since they had Charlotte, they devoted their whole lives to raising her up and making her happy, they were such supportive parents her human friends' smiles would sometimes twist sourly in jealousy of such fortune she had, even when she was wrong her parents would still stand by her side and show the optimistic side of everything, even when she did something terrible and got her sent to the Five Elements Fae Institution, the school for faeries that had stepped out of line.

She mentally killed herself for being so careless, all Charlotte had tried to do was help her best friend find her lost puppy that had gone missing for a week so she did a spell and found the dog on the outskirts of the neighbourhood, she decided to nurse it back to health as it was sick and weak, however her spell went wrong and dark magick slipped inside the dog's soul, demonizing the dog.

For two weeks the whole town was under high alert to stay in houses, schools were cancelled, offices, restaurants, garages, stations were all closed so the CIA could catch the monstrous dog that was killing people.

The greatest reason of why she hated herself at the moment was because she had to leave Gavin, the love of her life back in Canada, they loved each other to bits, they were famous in their school for being the ultimate Romeo and Juliet, she had known pretty much all her life, they fell for each other when they were in primary school and were still going steady as a rock

She waved away the flashback and hopped up the few steps and pushed open the big glass door.

"Heads up!" Yelled a voice and Charlotte ducked by instinct as a fire-spider flew over her head, landing onto another faery's neck.

Charlotte cringed as the bitten faery turned around, his pupils turning into an emerald green as leaves started appearing out of nowhere.

An earth faery Charlotte thought as she watched vines wrapping themselves onto the other faery who had thrown the spider.

A crazy earth faery Charlotte corrected herself grimly, she straightened her back and quickly walked through the hall, avoiding the commotions going on.

A hand went down on her shoulder and she turned around to see a tall man who looked down at her suspiciously. "Haven't seen ya around here" He said gruffly with a southern accent "You're not one of those downtown riff raffs are ya? Cause ya sure don't look like it, but if any of the students cause ya some trouble, I'll see to it myself" He questioned Charlotte strictly.

"I'm just a new student here, I really am not in the mood to be questioned" Charlotte said sweetly, directly looking him in the eyes, her molten golden-green eyes wide open, working the charm, she watches knowingly as the guarded expression in the man's face turned into something warmer.

"Sure kid, the receptions right around the corner, I won't bother you any more"  He walked away and Charlotte breathed a sigh of relief, she remembered the last time her compulsion backfired on her teacher in her human school and the teacher gave her a 10 minute torturous lecture on fooling around.

She started walking to the reception when another hand grabbed her wrist, frustratedly, Charlotte twisted around to see who it was.

"Hey dude, you need to teach me that" A faerie boy said, his pale grey eyes alight with excitement, she couldn't help but notice that he looked pretty good with his dark brown boyish curls that most girls loved.
