I woke up to someone shaking me. When my eyes finally adjust I was able to make out a figure that looked a lot like Marcus. "Aurora, wake up." I put my hand on his forearm letting him know that I was awake and that he could stop shaking me. "Marcus, what is it? Did you really have to shake me so rough?" I don't think he understand how strong he is and how hard of a grip he has.
"You were gr-never mind. You were having a bad dream. You should go back to sleep." Was all Marcus said before he walked out of my room, glancing back at me before he closed my door. I sighed. When will my bad dreams end? My eyes stayed glued to the door, like I was expecting him to come back. It was hard to force my gaze elsewhere. Why would he ever come back?
I shot up from my bed, not convinced that I would be able to go to sleep. I let my feet dangle for a moment, barely brushing against the hard wooden floor. It was dark all around, surrounding me like a thick blanket. I couldn't quiet remember what my dream was about but I was getting bad vibes off of it. So with that thought of my mind I stood up, deciding that I would past around my room until I grew tired of it. After a while, I assumed that my body and mind was now tired and laid back in bed, cuddling with the blankets.
~~~~~
I breathed evenly out, ready to open my eyes. I grabbed at the sheets and sat up on the bed yawning, a stretch not far along after that. The tips of my toes touched the cold floor, shocked from the contact. As soon as I stood up I fell to the ground, sharp pains souring through my whole body. A scream ripped through my throat hurting it in the process. I was sure everyone was awake by now if anyone else was in the house.
I felt the wooden floor beneath me move like a raging heartbeat. I soon came to realization that it was not a raving heartbeat but the sound of feet treading heavily against the floor. The door to my room was beyond damaged when Marcus smashed through it. I am going to need a new door after this.
He marched towards he, bending down to my height so he could see what was wrong with me. I could barely verbalize a sound, the pain blocking any chance I had. "Aurora talk to-shit." Marcus went from looking like he knew knowing about my pain to knowing all about it. He lifted he up, earning a scratchy groan from me. Marcus gave a concerned look, not happy that he was hurting me even more. When we made it to the stairs the only sound that was making contact with out ears was a cracking sound. A long scream irrupted from my throat. My bones were cracking, braking; every bone in my body was on fire as each on moved within me. All I could do was scream.
"Where are you taking me" I asked Marcus, wondering what he knew about my excruciating pain.
"Outside. Aurora you are shifting." I was astonished. I'm human though, right? "Marcus." I said through my clenched jaws. "How?" I breached out aching all over. He did respond to me. It only made me more furious. Earlier he wouldn't tell me why I was in such pain and now he wont tell me why I was shifting. Shifting into what?
"Shifting? Into what Marcus?" I had no idea if there are different kinds of shifters or if there was only werewolves. It truly scared me, shaking me deep within. "A wolf, my Love." Marcus said tenderly, probably noticing the instability in my voice. I could only nod as we finally made it outside, the Autumn crisp air filling my nostrils. It was one of the most soothing things beside Marcus.
He laid me down on the ground and as soon as he did I began to shift, feeling my hands grow out into a paw only for a moment as it quickly shifted back into a hand. My whole body did this a few times before I was able to fully shift into my wolf.
Once I was able to open my eyes I could see things much better, more clear than I ever thought I would be able to. It was amazing. I finally stood up, finding it weird and still adjusting to the new body I had. "Aurora, can you hear me?" I heard Marcus say. I turned my head around to find him standing behind me, the head of my wolf meeting the six-foot-one man in front of me. We were the same height, it was so strange, so new.
Marcus had no time to admire my wolf as a wolfs growl pierced our ears. I jerked my wolfs head in the direction of the growl and glared at the foul thing in front of me. With out thinking, almost like second nature I ran up to it, growling just as darkly as it did. With one swift move I ripped the wolfs throat out backing away. Did I just kill someone?
Marcus had already shifted and was right beside me, standing tall. He looked at the rouge wolf and back at me, shifting into his human form with in seconds. I observed him until I acknowledged that he was not wearing any cloths and looked away. I could feel his smirk.
"Aurora, if you want to shift back just think about what it was like being in your human form." I did as I was told and sure enough I started to shift back. Once I was fully in my human form it dawned on me that I had no cloths, I had ripped them apart when I shifted. Marcus Noticed my uncomfortable state of being naked for him to see and handed me a sure. His sent his my nose hard, and I took in every sniff like it was a drug.
"Come with me, I want you to meet a few members of the pack" Marcus said with a blank face. So are not going to talk about the fact that I just killed someone? We walked into his house and as soon as we did three people stood by a door, awaiting us. "This is Angle." Marcus pointed to the only other girl with red hair in the room. I smiled at her not wanting to see rude. He pointed to another girl. "This would be Rosie, the female Beta." She had black curly hair with bright blue eyes. Pretty.
"Kobe, my Beta." Marcus gestured his hand to a man with light brown hair, he looked handsome. "Mark and Drake, they are brothers." Once I looked at them I could immediately tell. They both had a rich dark brown hair color. Marcus paused for a moment looking back at me to see if I understood, I nodded a yes. "And this is Eric, you bodyguard when I am not around." I looked at Eric, he looked a bit serious. I guess you have to be, to be one of the Alpha Kings bodyguards. he had jet black hair and it suited him well. I went upstairs to change into something appropriate and came back down. We all chatted for a while.
Angle was a black wolf, Rosie was a light brown wolf and Kobe was a full grey wolf. Drake and Mark were dark brown colored wolves and Eric was a mixture of white and grey. He told me he was more white than grey, but the color was still there.
I had also asked all of them how many members were in the back. Marcus not talking much through the whole conversation he spoke up, answering my question. "We have about a thousand and five hundred, not including the children." I looked at him amazed while he looked proud. We talked and talked, I thought it would never end.
