Chapter 5

Jade's POV:

Sucks that Ruby couldn't ride along! Hopefully Sofia does!

As I rode my bike to Sofia's, I thought about something.

Amber won't be approving of their relationship!

I pulled up on Sofia's driveway, and literally dropped my bike and walked to the door.

I rang the doorbell.

Sofia opened.

"Hey Ruby! What you up to today?" she asked excitedly.

I smiled.

"Hey, um I was wondering if you wanted to hang out, and maybe ride our bikes around town?" I casually invited.

She grinned.

"I'll ask my mom."

She went in for a minute, and came out with her bike.

I jumped on mine, and we began pedaling.

Once we arrived in town, we were slowing down.

"Hey Sofia!"

We looked around, and I saw James moving his hands, trying to get her attention.

"Sofia! It's James!" I shouted.

She looked at me, and then where I was pointing.

Her face immediately lit up.

"Do you wanna go?" she asked.

I shrugged.

When we arrived, I saw that James was not alone; he was with Zandar.

James introduced us.

Zandar smiled.

"Hi." I shyly began.

"Hello."

Sofia and James hugged for what seemed like a century!

We locked our bikes because it seemed like we were going to be walking.

"How about we go to the zoo?" James wondered.

We shrugged.

"C'mon! It's the best place to be!" Zandar exclaimed.

I will admit he's actually pretty handsome.

Sofia and I accepted the invitation to the zoo.

Zandar and I began chit-chatting.

He talked about sports, while I talked about baking.

Apparently, he loved baking, and his specialty were red velvet cupcakes, and macarons.

AND: he adored cooking.

I giggled.

He smiled.

"Hey you two, we're here!" James announced.

Sofia giggled, and held on to him.

After the guys paid for us and themselves, (I know, what gentlemen!) we decided to go to the giraffes.

Zandar joked the whole way over there.

Ugh! If only he liked me!

"Whoa Jade! Isn't it a bit too soon to be saying that?" Zandar replied.

"Huh?"

Zandar raised an eyebrow.

"Come on! You said, 'Ugh! If only he liked me!' Wow!"

I blushed.

Had I really spoke my thoughts out loud?

I sighed.

"Whatever."

I was so bored!

What a horrible trip! I ruined my chance to get a boyfriend!

The whole 2 hours we were there were a complete-

Sofia's POV:

Heaven!

That's how I felt.

James was holding my hand, and we were having so much fun.

After 2 hours, we decided to leave.

They walked us back to our bikes, where James kissed me goodbye.

He promised to see me later.

"Hey Sof, how about I pick you up at around 5:00 so you can meet my family?"

I nodded.

"Okay James! Well..."

I put my hands around his neck again, and we kissed again.

"Excuse me!" Zandar interrupted.

I blushed.

"Bye."

I rode my bike at a fast speed, racing with Jade.

I drove Jade to her house, said bye, and raced to my house.

Can't wait to meet his family!
