Sat down in second period, just as I take out my books, I hear the loudspeaker say:

"Ms.Danielle Cruz, Danielle Cruz, please report to the principal's office."

"Ms.Cruz, ir a la oficina ahora." (Translation:"Ms.Cruz, go to the office now.")

"Yeah, yeah. I heard." I say as I pack my stuff and leave.

I wonder why I'm going today. I didn't do anything.. Is it my grades? No, that's impossible..

"How can I help you." says the lady at the front desk who looks as if she hates her job.

"I was just called here."

"Oh. Right. Ms.Danielle Cruz? This way to Mr.Biggs office."

"I know the way.. I've been here before, thanks." I say as I enter his office. Mr.Biggs is our school principal. He's alright, but he just tries to hard to be cool.

"Good morning Danielle! How was your week so far? Take a seat." Concidering its Tuesday and I had to start my week with getting my ass beat.. fucking terrible.

"Morning Mr. Biggs, why am I here today?"

"You are here because I chose you to show our new student around-"

"I'm sorry what? Why would you choose me? What about Nicole or someone else who is more school spirited?"

"Well, Nicole is currently busy with prom next month, as well as being cheer captain, so she opted out."

"Okay but again, why me."

"I just thought you would be the most suitable." I don't understand him sometimes.

"Um, okay sure. Fine, I'll do it."

"Oh! Okay! I didnt think you would agree so fast.. "

"Yeah, I mean, I don't have plans, Lily isn't here today."

"You'll be fine. So he-"

"'Him'?"

"Yes Danielle. It is a guy. Is there a problem?"

"No. It's just.. "

"If there is any issue, just let me know okay? He is in Mr.Dae's room. Come this way." Mr. Dae is our awkward vice principal who never really leaves his office.

"So, whats his name?" I ask Mr.Biggs before we walked into the other office.

"Nathan. Well, Nathaniel Ramos."

"Oh. Okay." I say hesitantly as we walked in and I saw him in person.

"Hi, I'm Danielle. Welcome to E. Rodriguez High School." I said with my hand out ready to shake his.

"Hey I'm Nathaniel." He said while he shook my hand, his hand lingering a bit longer than a usual handshake.

"Well, lets get started with the tour?"

"Yeah forsure."

Where am I supposed to go? I dont do things like this.

"So here's the library. Lots of books, study area, yeah.. I'm sure you know." I stutter.

"Yeah haha, I'll never spend much time there."

"Oh, same." Fuck I'm lying already.

I show Nathaniel or Nate as he prefers me calling him, the rest of the school, careful to not bump into Brianna or Audrey. Along the tour I saw that we had a couple classes together, though I'm not sure if I'm happy about that or not.
