"So what do you wanna do today?" Nate asks when we get inside the car.

"I was gonna see Lily.. Why, what did you have in mind?"

"Nothing yet."

"Wanna meet Lily?"

"Sure. I'll stay for a bit."

"Lily I'm here!" I call from outside her bedroom door. Her mom opened the front door for us and thought Nate was my boyfriend. She's always home now since she lost her job, I felt so bad when she told my mom and I last month.

"Doors open!" She calls back.

"Hey Lil, this is Nate, my new friend i've been talking to you about." I say once I walk in.

"Hi Nate," She says, standing up to shake his hand. "I'm Lily! Nice to meet you, I've heard so much about you!"

"Hi Lily, I've heard quite a bit about you too." Nate smiles, shaking her hand back, then turning to glance at me.

"Oh really! Sit anywhere, sorry it's a bit messy." Lily says, pointing around to her tidy bedroom.

"What are you talking about Lil, your room is always clean." I say sitting on her bean bag chair in the corner. Nate looks awkward to sit anywhere so he sits on the floor next to me.

"Yeah, but I haven't cleaned in a week! Oh Nate, you can sit on the chair by my desk if you don't like the floor," Lily says, pointing at the chair. "I mean, it's cool, I'm sure you'd rather stay with Dani." She says smirking.

"Lily I -Uh, need to pee. Where's your bathroom?" Nate says standing up.

"Oh! Its right across."

"Thanks.." Nate says, rushing out.

I wait until I hear the door close and lock until I start talking to Lily.

"Are you serious Lil, stop smirking at Nate and I!" I said laughing.

"Come on, you guys are so cute! How could I not?"

"I can't believe you said that."

"I'm not kidding though! You and Nate would look good together!"

"Yeah," I say, thinking of the thought of Nate and I, "I think so too, honestly. But we're not even a thing anyways, so it doesn't matter."

"Who isn't a thing?" Nate says, walking back into Lily's room, oblivious about the current conversation.

"Um.. Harry Styles and Taylor Swift. Gross couple, they weren't a thing." Lily says in a hurry, in hopes that Nate won't suspect a thing.

"Oh," Nate laughs, "I don't really follow the drama on them. Didn't One Direction break up or something?"

"Ugh! No! They're on hiatus. Taking a break!" Lily exclaims jokingly.

"Jeez, calm down tiger!" Nate laughs, putting his hands up in surrender.

"Lily's a big One Direction fan, as you can see," I say as I point to a wall dedicated to her One Direction memorabilia. "Well, a big fan of a lot of bands." I continue, pointing to the rest of the room.

"Guilty," Lily says, shrinking into her bed with a big smile.

"Hey, your music taste isn't that bad though," I say reassuringly. "We share a lot of band interests, thanks to me, if I do say so myself."

Lily jumps from her bed to her record player. "That's true! You see this album here?" She says, pointing to her The 1975 album I bought her for her birthday two years ago. "I didn't even know who they were until she showed me their music. They're incredible, do you know them?"

"Yeah, they're pretty good. I like Settle Down and Robbers from that album." Nate says.

"Really? That's interesting, cause those are on Dani's top 3 from the album!" Lily says, smiling widely at Nate and I.

"For crying out loud," Nate and I sing at the same time, followed by us laughing at how we sang the same lyrics at the same time.

"Aw, lovebirds!" Lily exclaims.
