May's POV

May: We have been looking at houses all week, Jermaine. C'mon, do you at least see ONE you're interested in. You act like you're going to be living in it.

Realtor: (giggles a little) He is very picky. I think the next house I'm going to show you guys will be perfect. It has a pool, 3 bedrooms, and it has a garage.

Jermaine: I want the house to have a basketball court.

May: Why would they need a basketball court? You don't even have a basketball court.

Jermaine: So I could use it...?

May: (glares at him)... (looks at realtor) let's go check out the house. This one is the closest to my studio right.

Realtor: Correct. Only a 15 minutes drive.

May: Perfect.

As they arrived to the beautiful home, Jermaine just shook his head. While touring the home, he commented on ever detail explaining that it wasn't good enough. May saw perfection. A nice comfy home for a mother and her growing daughter, close enough for her to keep an eye on them. That's all she needed.

May: We'll take it.

Realtor: May, we haven't even gotten to the backyard. Don't you want to see the rest of the estate?

May: (Smiles) Nope, it's perfect. I love it because I know she's going to love it. It's well built and it's child proof.

Jermaine: (Shakes his head) No basketball court, though.

Realtor: There is a hoop in the backyard.

Jermaine: We'll take it.

May: (Laughs and hugs his arm) Let's sign those papers.

(Later that week at home)

May: (Sits at kitchen table sipping on coffee) Ok, Jermaine. We got the new appliances, new furniture, put in her old pictures throughout the house...

Jermaine: Got her the new car..

May: Yup.. (Checks it off the list)

Jermaine: Put in their old clothes with some new clothes...

May: Yup... (Checks it off)...

Jermaine: Paid for electricity, water, cable, and Internet for 2 years..

May: Yup.. (Checks off).. Anything else?

Jermaine: Did we stock the groceries?

May: Yup! Did it this last night so it would be fresh!

Jermaine: That's my baby.. (Gives her a high five and a kiss).. We did good.

May: I hope she likes it.

Jermaine: ( Sits down next to her ) Of course she will ma. She needed this. He won't be able to find her here.

May: Even if he did, I made sure that the house had top notch security. I'm going to catch his ass.

Jermaine: (Nods) .. So what now?

May: She gets out today. She told me she will be coming here after she talks with her mom.

Jermaine: Speaking of her mom, it was nice of her to help us pick out furniture.

May: Yeah, she was so happy to hear about the surprise. (Hears a knock on the door)

Jermaine: I got it. (Opens door)... (Chuckles a little) What's good man!

Kendrick: (Walks inside) Nothing man,  just thought I would drop by and say what's up... (Looks at May) Hey.
