When writing a story in Wattpad, you cannot expect thousands of reads the next day. Time may help but not all the time.
Do not imagine stuff that you will be famous the next day. It would require total dedication and hard work.
Last year I created an eleven chapter story and became an inactive member. That story did not flourish and have very few reads. That's a bad investment in time.
A month ago I made a new story and now it has more reads than the first story I have written.
I'll give you a tip with what I discovered about time. You should update your stories most of the time because if you do, it has greater chances of popping out in the recommended portion. Meaning more chances that people can see your work and read it.
Remember: Patience is a virtue.
