It was early in the morning, both Touka and Kaneki were asleep. Kaneki's eyes squinted and began to slowly open. Right away as he opened his eyes, he saw the sight of the one he loved. He couldn't help but smile looking at her beautiful face. He sat up rubbing his eyes to make sure he wasn't seeing anything or if this was just a dream. Nope it wasn't, she was really right here next to him and last night was real. He stood up and laid next to her wrapping his arm around her stomach. He closed his eyes and her scent began to run into his nose. Her scent was sweet and rich.

Touka slowly began to wake up feeling an arm around her. Her eyes widened and out of instinct she kicked the figure behind her off the bed. "Ow! What the hell Touka-Chan it's just me!" She looked at Kaneki and looked pissed off. "Why the hell were you sleeping next to me?" "I felt like laying with you that's all." He stood up dusting himself off and frowned a bit. "Next time you do a stunt like this im going kick your ass dumbass!" Her face was completely red. "Okay okay, jeez." He cracked his index finger not intending to do it on purpose. Touka groaned "Can you stop that?" His eyes widened realizing he cracked his finger unintentionally. "Sorry Touka-Chan, guess it's just a habit."

She couldn't help but wonder where did he get that habit from? "Kaneki, can I ask you something?" Kaneki raised a brow "Sure Touka-Chan I'm all ears." He smiled. "When did you get the habit of cracking your fingers like that?" His eyes widened remembering everything that happened with Yamori. "1000-7.... 993....986...979." He began cracking all of his fingers one by one with his eyes widened. He continued to count and Touka couldn't help but feel terror seeing Kaneki this way. "Kaneki!" She began to shake him violently trying to snap him out of it. He shook his head and snapped out of it. Touka looked worried due to the scene that just happened. "You don't have to tell me Kaneki if it's that bad." "No, it's fine I'll tell you what happened while Yamori had me."

His heart raced while memories began to flood his broken mind. There was an awkward moment of silence till Kaneki decided to break it. "Touka-Chan, I was tortured by Yamori" Her eyes widened a bit realizing she had no idea what he has been through. "He used pliers to cut my fingers and toes off repeatedly." He gulped before talking again. "Due to my Regenerative ability I grew them back like a lizard. He made me count 1000-7, at first I didn't know the reason but realized later it was to keep me concious." He cracked his finger and looked at his hand. Touka couldn't believe what she was hearing, her face in complete horror. "That's not all though, he put a centipede in my ear and made me choose between a couple who to kill." He looked down allowing his hair to cover his eyes. "I couldn't choose, it was like me killing one of them and I couldn't do it!" He held his head. "Yamori killed the girl first right in front of him, his face devastated and Yamori killed him to right on the spot, their blood is on my hands."

Touka gripped her shorts in anger "That bastard!" She began to grit her teeth. "I wasn't only tortured by Yamori though, Rize appeared in my head and began to torture me and show me images of all my loved ones getting killed by Yamori." He began to shake. "She made me break my all of the things I believed in and I finally accepted the fact that I was a ghoul and I could use this to make sure I protected everyone I love." He cracked his finger once more. Touka reached for his hands and grabbing them. "Kaneki, I'm sorry I let them take you a way from here, I'm sorry I couldn't save you sooner!" Kaneki looked into her eyes. "Stop, their was nothing you could do about it." Touka couldn't help but feel anger and a thirst for revenge. "I will hunt him down and make him pay for this!" "You can't, I killed him." She looked away feeling like an idiot saying something so idiotic. "It's okay Touka-Chan." He kissed her cheek to reassure her that he was okay. "I'm okay, no need to worry about me." He smiled like he always did but his smile was tainted.

Touka realized the time and it was almost time to go to school she was going to be late. "Shit! I got to go I'm going to be late!" She rushed to her drawer to grab her uniform and ran to the bathroom to change and get ready quickly. She ran back to the room to grab her backpack and looked at Kaneki. "We need to talk when we get back idiot." She flicked his forehead. "Jeez your abusive to me." "That's true I better stop or it'll be animal cruelty." She laughed loud and smirked. "Now I'm an animal? Lovely." She kissed his forehead heading toward the door. "Love you shit head." She opened the door. "Love you to Touka-Chan." He smiled before she left the room and closed the door.
