As I skated down the road, a bus drove past. I saw Axel's adorable face staring right at me with his green eyes. He looked at me and smiled. I smiled back but the bus drove past and soon I couldn't see his face only the bus in the distance. I stared after the bus as I skated and nearly crashed into Oscar.
"Hey...ozzy?" I said
"Hi," he said turning around.
"Which friend did you mean?" I asked.
"Um... I shouldn't be telling you this... but...axel" he admitted
"Okay, thanks, I won't tell anyone you told me," I said jumping on my board again
"Have a nice summer!" he shouted after me.
"You too!" I shouted back.
So it was axel. The hottest boy in the school fancied me. I must be pretty.
When I got home I rushed through the door and locked myself into my room. I stared at myself in the mirror. I wasn't fat. I wasn't spotty. But I wasn't like the popular like the other girls. I wasn't sporty. Why would axel like me? He had been out with most of the girls in the posh private school on the other side of town. Or so I'd heard.
After a while of debating in my head I decided I need a new look. I messed up my hair, nope. I brushed it into a middle parting, never. I combed it into a side pony tail, maybe. I shoved it up into a messy bun, perfect!
Now clothes. I flung open my small wardrobe and stared at the clothes inside. I made piles of yes, no and maybe. In no I put my shiny pink party dress from when I was 10, my tutu from when I did ballet and my small pink fluffy jumper. In maybe I put my pink lace top, my green summer dress and my red flowery jump suit. In yes I put everything else. This included my green checked shirt, my blue lace belly top, my dark denim shorts and my outfit I was wearing. I put the maybe in one side of my wardrobe and the yes on the other. The no I shoved into a charity bag and dumped it outside the front door.
