I put my stuff away with the piles of other people's stuff and called Mackenzie and axel over.
"We need to practice!" I said once they had jogged over.
"Come on then," said Mackenzie putting on the music and getting into position. Axel backed off to give us some room. Mackenzie and I did our routine. We danced like diversity.
"Woa!" Said axel once we finished, "I never knew you were that good!"We grabbed our stuff and went backstage while axel took a seat in the audience.
"You ready for this?" Mackenzie asked nervously.
"Pfht, I've got this," I said.We waited and waited and waited. Finally our song came on. We did our duo and came off. When we were dancing it seemed like nothing was in our brains but our routine, nothing matters but getting the moves right.
But then the applaud brought us back to earth."Did I do okay? Did I mess up?" I asked axel when the show had finished.
"You were amazing," he said. He kissed me on the cheek. Fireworks exploded as his lips touched mine. we pulled away and walked hand in hand back to my house. When we got to the door I let go of axels hand to find my keys in my bag. I opened the door and stepped in. We took our shoes off and Axel grabbed my hand again.
"Haha! Look at this Fred! Georgia has a boy friend! Smoochy smoochy!!!" Said Charlie running down the stairs with Fred on his back.
"Awe Georgie! Kissy kissy!" Said Freddie. Axel squeezes my hand, obviously embarrassed. I remembered something Clair told me the other day and couldn't help myself.
"At least I'm not like you, kissing the girls in the cloakroom!" I said punching Charlie on the shoulder. He blushed bright red and ran away.I lead axel through the kitchen and into the garden where we could have some peace. Clair was in the kitchen and looked up as we passed. She didn't care one bit that I had a boy in the house. I ran onto the grass, pulling Axel with me, and sat on the twins swings. Axel took the seat beside me and we swung gracefully together. Our hands still intertwined.
