Chapter 11

(Your PoV)

"There's something I want to show you." Ikuto whispered into my ear. I felt him move away from me but I was too tired to get up along with him.
"Are you coming?" He asked. When I didn't answer, Ikuto let out a sigh. Suddenly, I felt the soft mattress under me disappear. My eyes shot open. At first I thought I was flying, but then I realised Ikuto was lifting me up.

"Ahh! Put me down!" I half laughed half screamed. Ikuto lowered me onto the floor.

"Hurry up and get dressed, we have to be out of the hotel by 10:00am." He reminded me, I had forgotten that our stay wouldn't last forever.

"What time is it?" I mumbled with my face squashed on the floor.

"9:56am." Ikuto replied.

I thought for a minute. I did the maths in my head. It's okay, I still have 4 minutes.

"4 minutes!!??" I yelled and literally jumped so high off the floor that my head almost touched the roof. Ikuto was already packed and walking out the room. I quickly pulled on the first T-shirt I grabbed and some shorts, stuffed my stuff into my suit case and ran out the door with my suit case in one hand and my shoes (which I hadn't put on yet) in my other hand.

"Took you long enough." Ikuto said as he turned to me. He seemed a bit irritated, maybe he needed a coffee or something.

We thanked the reception lady for our stay and walked out of the hotel. I rolled my suitcase along the path as we walked in an unfamiliar direction.

"Where are we going?" I asked for about the 7th time. My feet were hurting! I at least had the right to know where the hell I was going.

"You'll see." Ikuto replied blankly. He had said the same bloody thing EVERY time I asked.

After about an hour and a half of walking, Ikuto stopped. I looked up at him, his eyes looked like they were looking at something Ikuto hadn't seen in a while. I followed his gaze which met with a.........pile of leaves? Ikuto walked up to the pile of leaves and I followed him. It looked a bit suspicious, just a random pile of leaves in what seemed like the middle of nowhere. There were a few trees around, but that was about it.

Ikuto brushed the leaves away which created a huge mess. I was a bit annoyed that he had ruined a perfectly neat pile of leaves but then I looked. down. On the ground, there were two small wooden doors padlocked shut. Like an entrance to an underground room. It was dusty, but I could just make out the words carved onto the wooden doors. Ikuto's Secret Base. The carving looked like 4 year olds writing.

"I found this place when I was 5," Ikuto said, "I made it my own special hide out that no one knew about." He said.

Ikuto reached into his pocket and pulled out an old-looking key. I watched at he put the key into the lock and turned it. The padlock unlocked with a click.

"(Y/N). This isn't my special place anymore, it's our special place." Ikuto said. He reached down and took the lock off the opened the doors. They creaked loudly like they hadn't been open for years. There was a ladder leading down to the base. "After you." Ikuto made a hand gesture for me to go in. I didn't want to. What if the doors shut before Ikuto went in and he couldn't open them?!

I went in anyway.

I was about half way when Ikuto followed me inside. The small wooden doors closed behind him. It was dark, so very dark. I lowered my foot to the ground, then the other one. I heard a quiet click and jumped. A light switched on and Ikuto was standing a few metres away from me.

"I'm surprised it still works." He said and gave me a smile.
