What the hell? I think sitting up looking around, what was that? I stand up and brush the dirt off my pants and singlet. I look down to brush the dust off my shoes and knees only to see Leo's big yellow eyes looking up at me playfully. "I should have known you little brat," I say picking up Cassie's grey, short-haired cat, he looks at me rather pleased with himself.
"Sorry," Cassie shrugs stepping out from the bush. "I tried to stop him, but you know Leo if he is gonna do something he does it fast."
"You are the only person I know who has a cat that prefers to trail around on your shoulder. Or wrapped around the neck" laughs Donna "And you mister, are a weirdo" she says, stroking Leo's soft fur.
"So how is this going to work?" Cassie says pulling a stick from my hair
"Well," I start. "We, as in you, me and D are going to go in and the boys are going to wait outside for us so we can get our stuff done without any distractions."
"Ok cool, only one problem," Cassie says, "I have looked at every door, and window and they are all locked."
"Oh well, let's go home," Donna says turning around to walk off.
"Not likely D," I say grabbing her arm and turning her around. "We didn't drive this far out of town to turn back; we will work something out ok,
" I say then turn to the boys who are play fighting... again. "Hey stop it you two, we are going inside okay, you go wait in the car we won't be long I promise k. Oh and try not to hurt each other ok kids" I say rolling my eyes.
"K baby have fun with your haunted house stuff or whatever I love you," says Chase kissing me goodbye.
Ok, so after the children leave we start to look for a way in, which is proving to be harder to find then I first thought.
"Um, guys!" Cass yells from the back.
Donna and I run around the side of the house, and spot Cassie's red curly hair in the middle of the yard and hear Leo meow.
"What is it hun," Donna says, placing a hand on Cassie's shoulder.
"Look," she says, pointing at the now open back door.
"What the? Do you see that or am I going crazy?" I say.
"Bit of both" Donna says not taking her eyes off the door either.

Dear diary,
I am turning six soon I am so excited I hope some mummy and daddy adopt me soon bcos I have been really good. Sister Emily sed I am soo cute that someone will I m going to have a birthday party here at the orfanage when its day time. I m really excited! I keep hearing this voice that says come play wif me but I don't want to it is getting mad. I have to go it's breakfast time

"Sister Emily we can't keep doing this. Lila needs to be in a room with other girls besides Finlay, Gretta and Helen; she needs to learn to communicate and socialise. Plus except for Helen the others are too old for her to talk to, It's not healthy mark my words" sister Imogen says
"I know but she does not get along with the other girls and when we tried she trashed the room and all their things and lied about it. With the girls, she is with now none of that has happened, and they keep her panic attacks down. For now this is best at least until her birthday ok" Emily says sitting down at her desk and sighed. "Please leave me be and go serve the girls their porridge."
