Mike's POV

Reaching the school gates together, Tony and I stopped momentarily before looking at each other. I reached out my hand to connect with Tony's so we could walk in together, hand in hand. We decided that since I came out to my parents, we may as well come out to the rest of the school. We knew we'd get bullied, but we accepted that. We were happy together, and we didn't want to hide it.

"Are you sure, Mike?" Tony asked nervously, his hand slightly shaking in mine.

"It'll be fine, Tone. I'm proud to call you my boyfriend and I don't care what anyone in this school thinks. I'll be here by your side, okay?" I said, trying to calm his nerves.

Tony stayed silent for a few more moments before nodding his head with as much confidence as he could manage. "Come on then"

We walked through the school gates together, hand in hand, feeling like every pair of eyes was on us. But we expected it, and we weren't going to let it get to us, so we continued walking to class like any normal day.

"Oh my god" We heard a familiar laugh from behind us. Adam. I lightly squeezed Tony's hand in mine, letting him know it'd be alright. "Is this serious?" Adam laughed, gripping hard on the back of both our jackets, forcing us to stop to talk to him. "Jesus, Mike, I didn't think you could stoop any lower. You're seriously gay? And for him?"

"Yes, Adam, I'm gay. And yes, 'for him'" I mimicked. "I couldn't have asked for a better boyfriend, and I could not give less of a shit what you think." I spat at him.

Adam let out a loud laugh, finding the situation hilarious, before pushing us both backwards and walking off. "See you later, gay boys."

"See, that wasn't too bad. He can't hurt us." I comforted Tony, rubbing his back softly and quickly pecking his cheek before we continued to class.

The rest of the day we could both tell that the latest gossip was purely about Tony and I, hearing our names whispered constantly. But we didn't let it get to us, we had each other and that's all that mattered.

4 months on, and things were still going well. Everyone at school still looked down on us, and we were still as open about our relationship as we were the first time we came out. Adam was still finding our relationship humorous- pushing us, throwing things at us, and teasing us whenever he got the chance. Tony would be at my house most days, only going back home once or twice every week in case my parents wondered why he was never at home, since we couldn't tell them about his dad.

Despite the judgement at school, and the bullying we received, I guess you could say everything was going perfect. At least, it was, until I got home from school one day...
