Meet the Wattpad classic: the bad boy and the nerd. This also includes the player and the nerd or the jock and the nerd. Ever heard the oh so worn out phrase, opposites attract? If you haven't, I suggest you move house from underneath that rock to somewhere less bone crushing. The phrase pretty much sums up this couple; you know, the good girl and the bad boy, the pure, innocent virgin and the not so innocent player and the straight A girl and the boy who's failing all his classes except PE. See what I mean? Two opposite people attracting a lot. And by a lot I mean like damn, someone better throw some cameras in there because that stuff's going viral. Even so, the whole opposites attracting thing is really not original. Good but not original. So the plot consists of Chase, the school's most popular guy, making a bet with his obnoxious friends that he can seduce the nerd and make her fall in love with him. However, after some cute, romantic and a few steamy moments thrown in there, Chase ends up falling in love with her as well. Big surprise right? I mean like woah, was not expecting that, BIGGEST PLOT TWIST EVER. Anyhow, when Dottie finds out about the bet, she freaks out and Chase nearly loses her but after an argument and a forgiveness scene, the two of them end up together. Practically every story on Wattpad has this plot. Like, I'm not saying it's a bad plot but it's really predictable. Why not just put a twist on it, like it's the nerd betting over Chase's heart? Now that's not so cliche. Anyway, the good girl and the bad boy is probably the biggest cliche known to Wattpad
What about the other cliche involving the player? Chase is a player and is looking for another victim to plunge his sword into and it just so happens that Scarlet catches his eye. Scarlet being Scarlet isn't deceived and decides she should play him at his own game; play the player. They both try making each other fall for them and they both succeed and it ends with Chase being a changed man and they both confess their love and live happily ever after and get married and there's probably a sequel with their kids or with them as a married couple and rainbows and flowers and all that happy stuff and you have yourself a cliche story
Oh my gosh I'm living with five insanely hot guys. The five or whatever many guys are usually different types such as the bad boy, the nerd, the quiet mysterious one, the nice guy, the romantic, the stoner, the serial kill or the DILF who probably shouldn't be in highschool. We get it, they all end up falling helplessly in love with Wendy and she ends up choosing Chase, occasionally the DILF. You'd be surprised
Let's bring Wendy back in here- Wendy, no stop screwing Humphrey for five seconds. We've read it all before in a lot of detail. A moment of silence to of all the innocence lost on Wattpad...Okay, in numerous werewolf stories, Wendy is hated by her pack and her life pretty much just sucks. Then, on Humphrey's birthday, the day he can find his mate, he finds out it's Wendy. He rejects her and the heartbroken girl runs away and ends up in another pack's territory. They take her in and she becomes Scarlet or a girl any guy would want. She's happy and everyone in the pack loves her but meanwhile, back in sadistic land, her old pack is falling apart and they ask Wendy's new pack for help, unaware that Wendy is in that pack. They go over and Wendy tells her new pack about all the bad things her old pack did and as a result, they hate them but she tells her peeps not to mention that she is Wendy because she's so hot now she is unrecognisable. She then tells her old pack that she is Wendy and everyone is shocked and Humphrey is begging her for forgiveness. After a few chapters of her holding a grudge, she forgives him and next thing you know, she's slam dunking him into his bed. So many werewolf stories go like this so please, add a little something else to it because the amount of original to cliche stories on here is one to a thousand
Chase and Scarlet aren't exactly on good terms, no, scratch that- they hate each other. However, after some series of events, they end of growing more feelings for each other than just hate. That's right R-R-R-ROMANCE! Yeah...that's all there is to it really but the love-hate relationship is cliche. Also, Chase and Scarlet will hate each other because of some stupid reason really, like Chase stole Scarlet's teapot when they were younger and ever since, Scarlet has sworn the most serious oaths of eternal hate towards Chase. The whole thing is kind of over dramatic but then again, this is Scarlet so what do you expect? Something with self thought? No, Scarlet doesn't even know what self thought is. Just in case you think I'm hating on the love-hate relationship, I'm not. I actually enjoy it and find it quite amusing. Just maybe not with Chase and Scarlet, maybe...Tatiana and Curtis. That would be a good read
