The Unseen Creatures~Book 2~

Chapter 2:

Keith sat on Danny's bed watching as Danny sat on the edge of his bed. Keith crossed his legs.

"Danny........ I have to tell you something."

"What is it?"

"Well when you told me in fourth grade that you were gay I uh wanted to tell you I liked you. And when you came home from the hospital I was about to ask you out until you said you were going out with Sam. I was disappointed. I really really like you Danny. And I was upset when you told me that you're dating Sam."

"Keith-"

Keith then leaned up and kissed Danny.

"I'm sorry. I just had to do that. At least once."

Danny bite his lip before looking at the door. He then took Keith's face into his and kissed him.

"Oh." Sam said with tears in his eyes.

"Sam...."

Sam shook his head. He grabbed his backpack and ran back out. He went to the kitchen.

"Hey ma'am I'm just going to go home early."

Scarlet turned around to look at him and rushed over when she saw the tears that he was trying to keep at bay.

"Sweetie what's wrong?"

"I w-went to get my homework and I s-saw D-Danny kiss Keith."

"Oh my..... Honey I'm sorry." Scarlet hugged him.

"I'm going to go home okay?"

"Yeah. I'll bring you some dinner over ."

"Thank you."

Scarlet kissed his head before watching him leave. She sighed.

Sam walked home slowly. He had his head down so he didn't see the men walking towards him. One of the men smirked before they grabbed Sam and dragged him into an alley. Sam elbowed one guy in the gut making him let go.

"What do you want?"

"You chose a bad time to go out at night. We are hungry."

"Night Stalkers." Sam said.

"Ah so you know of our kind."

"No duh. I have two friends that are night stalkers."

"Oh really. Well no more chit chat. I'm hungry and don't want to be out here all night."

"All right. Let's do this." They started for Sam but he kicked one in the chest and head butted the other.

Sam then ran out of the alley and to his house. He reached his house and reached into his bag for his keys. He looked behind him to see the Night Stalkers close.

"Crap crap crap." Sam chanted as he tried to get the door to unlock. He finally got it to unlock and went in. He slammed the door shut and locked it.

He ran upstairs and into his room. Sam set his back pack down by his desk before sighing. He was about to sit down when someone knocked on the front door. Sam went downstairs and looked through the peek hole. He opened the door.

"Hey ma'am."

"Hey sweetie. Like I promised I brought dinner."

"Thank you."

"No problem. I'm sorry he did that to you sweetie."

"It's not your fault."

"I better get home. Call me if you need something okay sweetie?"

"Okay."

Scarlet hugged Sam before leaving. Sam shut the door and went to the kitchen with the food. He sat at the table and ate before washing the dish.

Sam was about to go back to his room when there was another knock. Sam huffed in frustration before opening it before trying to close the door.

The men stopped him. "Now now boy. Don't be rude and close it on us."

One man pushed the door open making Sam fall. Sam crawled back until his back hit the wall as the men entered.

"Let's get this over with."

The other man nodded before lifting Sam and then leaning in and biting his neck. The other one bit into Sam's wrist. Sam groaned. Suddenly the men were thrown off Sam and someone caught him as he fell.

"Hang in there Sam."Caleb said.

Matt snapped the men's necks and put them on fire after dragging them outside.

"Caleb." Sam said weakly.

"Hey kid. Do you want us to get Danny over here?"

Sam's eyes filled with tears and he shook his head.

"Shh don't cry. Don't cry. I won't get him I promise."

Sam nodded.

"Come on let's get you upstairs and into bed." Caleb helped Sam upstairs and into his bed. He covered Sam up.

"Rest Sam. We'll be here to make sure no one else comes."

Sam nodded and closed his eyes. Caleb went downstairs.

"Do we call Danny?"

"No. Something happened tonight between them. It will only be us."

"All right. We can do it. Right?"

"Right." Caleb said.

"Good. So what now?"

"We stay with him."
