As Cassie walked down the steps and entered the basement, she could practically feel everybody's eyes on her back. She had her camera in her left hand, and her iPod and flashlight in the other. In her sweatshirt pocket, she had a knife that she used while camping and her earbuds.

When she reached the bottom of the stairs, she heard the door shut behind her. Then a click. Great. I'm stuck in here now, she thought. She walks into the next room. She ignored the gruesome jars that lined the shelves. She went straight to the room that was at the opposite end of the house from where the group was. She put her back to the wall and slid down. She put her and face in her hands and brought up her legs so she was as small as she could be.

She tried to fight the tears for a while, but she gave up and let them fall. She did not sob. She just sat there in in the corner, shaking and letting the tears fall down her face. After approximately 20 minutes, she dried her eyes and crossed her legs. She plugged in her ear buds and began listening to some covers buy the Piano Guys.

Cassie had finally began to calm down when she heard a scratching sound by the door way. She shined her flashlight to find a small, red eyed gruesome figure(Thaddeus) making its way towards her. She grabbed her knife and prepared to fight the creature. "Go away. Leave me alone," she whispered. She closed her eyes. When she opened them, the thing was gone. She was puzzled. She had to have been hallucinating. She got up and pulled out her camera. I might as well make the best of the situation. Or maybe I can prove to myself that I'm not crazy, she thought.

She walked out of the room, this time with her knife out and music away. She looked for the creature but could not find it. She had already made it back to the basement door when she saw Darren. "Sorry, didn't get your photo of a ghost," she said, trying to act normal.

"That's okay. I think photography is really cool, you know," he replied, taking a few steps closer to Cassie. She began to feel uncomfortable. Darren continued to get closer until there was only mere inches between the two. " I think it's even better when the clothes are off," he said as he put his hand on her shoulder and pushed her sweatshirt and tank top sleeves down, leaving only her bra strap on her otherwise bare shoulder.

"Don't touch me!" Cassie screamed, stepping back. She slid the clothes back up, but Darren pushed her against a wall and crushed his mouth against hers.

Cassie had never been so afraid or repulsed. She did the best thing she could do in that situation. She kneed him square in the balls and elbowed him in the nose. She was filled with a surge of pride as she heard a sickening crunch as her elbow met his face. He bent over and howled in pain. Cassie made a run for it. She darted toward the door to the second floor. Adrenaline coursed through her small body. She grabbed the door knob and turned.
