Tate stopped crying after Violet pulled away, put his face was still stained with tears. After Violet pulled away he was practically radiating joy. Violet squeezed his hand and smiled, then they walked to Mrs. Harmon.
She looked suprised to see them holding hands, but not angry which was a huge relief. I was standing behind Tate and whispered into his ear, "Go on."
"Mrs. Harmon, I want to say I'm sorry. It's my fault you died and I know that I should not have done what I did. I'm sorry," Tate said. Tears had begun to lightly flow down his face again. Mrs. Harmon got up. She walked over and wiped away his tears."Thank you. I forgive you. I'm happy here. Happier than when I was alive," she said. She smiled and sat back down. Violet gently pulled on Tate's arm and led him back up to her room. I followed, but when they went in, I decided to knock before entering in case I walked in on anything. I made myself visible and knocked. Violet opened the door and pulled me in.
Tate was on the mattress, looking happier than I have seen him before. I walked over to him and gave his hand a squeeze. I sat down at the foot of the bed and Violet sat next to Tate. We started a game of scrabble when it happened. I never heard the front door opening, but the sound of feet on the stairs started all of us. We threw the game under the mattress and concealed ourselves. Some CSI people came in and shone black lights all around the room, looking for blood. When they were satisfied that they're was none, they moved on to other rooms.
"We found something!" The voice yelled from outside. I followed a group outside and saw them looking at section of grass with my dried blood on it. Shit, I thought. "There is too much blood here for her to still be alive," said a woman solemnly. They started doing tests and found the accurate cause of death.
I stood and watched them. They never found my body. I wiped away my tears. When they left I made myself visible again. I felt an arm wrap around my shoulder and the person led me inside. I saw that the person was Mrs. Harmon. She sat me down on a couch and I sat there with my knees pulled up to my chest.
Mrs. Harmon rocked her baby while I cried softly. Moira came in at one point and rubbed my back for a few minutes, but she left to do work around the house. I guess I fell asleep, because I was shaken awake by Tate to find him and Violet holding hands and standing side by side.
"It's Halloween, Cassie," Violet said. I shot up off the couch and ran to the front door, Tate and Violet directly behind me. I went past the gate and stopped. I breathed in the air and continued. Tate and Violet were running through the street. I followed close behind them.

After going to my house and bringing some of my things back to the house, Tate and Violet helped me carry the 30 books that I bought with all of my money. I had to tuck my hair up into a hat so nobody would recognize me. When we delivered the books to the basement, I told Tate and Violet to go on ahead and that I'd find them later. I wrote a letter to Sarah. It mentioned important things like: don't tell anybody about this letter, you were a great friend, and last but not least, I did not die a virgin. The last one was a lie, but she won't be able to tell. I ran over to her house and slipped the letter through her open bedroom window. Then I began my search for Tate and Violet.
