"Soooo I was researching some stuff a while ago cause I wanted to understand some things more, but maybe Lucifer isn't all that bad." Jenna broke the silence that has gone on for an hour, and Sam and Tori stared at her like she had two heads. Dean's reaction was the worst though.
"Excuse me?? Lucifer isn't a bad guy? What the hell were you reading online? Must have been some satanic shit cause I don't know who else would think Lucifer isn't a bad guy. Hell, he ruined a good part of Sammy's life. My brother went insane because of him. And you're here, telling me that maybe Lucifer isn't a bad guy. Why would you think that?" Dean was super angry. Jenna and Dean had that wonderful relationship where you would never see anger, and if there was any sort of anger, it was brief and very rare. This was bad though. Sam and Tori looked at each other knowing Jenna had crossed the line. Sam even seemed angered at the fact that she said that about Lucifer. Tori put her hand on his so he wouldn't say anything that could hurt her friend.
"Dean, I just think, since he's an angel and very powerful, maybe we could get him on our side, talk to him, and he could help us out so much on hunts when we don't know what we are facing. We just have to give him a chance." Jenna had hope in her eyes but Dean couldn't see that.
"Give him a chance?! Are you kidding me? We don't need another angel for help, we have Cas, and we have Gabriel who's even more powerful. We do not need Lucifer, and we never will! End of story!" Dean slammed the steering wheel and pulled over. He took the Fall Out Boy CD out and put it in the case and quickly put AC/DC on and got back on the road. The next two hours was the most silence they have ever experienced. Both Sam and Tori had fallen asleep in the backseat of the Impala for the remainder of the drive. Jenna could have fallen asleep, but Dean's body was like a furnace projecting anger. He didn't speak, but Jenna could tell how pissed he was.
As soon as they got to the motel closest to the forest, Dean popped the trunk and got out of the car. He tapped on Sam's window and he woke up. Dean grabbed his and Jenna's bags and went to go get a room. Sam threw his backpack and Tori's bag onto his shoulder, shut the trunk and picked Tori's sleeping body out of the car and took her to the room. Once they were all at the motel, Jenna slowly got out of the car and closed the door. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath as she walked up to their room. When she went inside, Tori and Sam were already in bed sleeping, and Dean was in the bathroom. Jenna decided not to change out of her clothes. She quickly removed her contacts and slipped into bed before Dean got out of the bathroom. Once Dean was finished, he shut out the light on the nightstand and got into bed. He noticed Jenna was still in jeans and was facing the wall away from him. Normally, she would always face him while sleeping. Dean could tell her arms were crossed and knew she hadn't fallen asleep yet.
"Jenna, turn around and let me talk to you." He grabbed her arm hoping she hadn't lost her love for him.
She slowly turned over to face him and he could see tears well up in her eyes.
"Jenna, I-I'm sorry I snapped at you in the car. It's just, you know what happened to Sam. Then you go and say something like that. I mean, maybe some day, if it's possible, just maybe, we could talk to him. See if he might want to turn away from being a dick all the time. I don't even know how to do that though. But maybe we can give him a chance. I love you." He kept his voice low trying not to wake up Tori and Sam. His eyes were sincere and Jenna knew he was serious.
"I love you too and thank you." She said as she wiped her eyes.
"Well, go and get changed into pajamas. Get comfortable."
Jenna got up and went to the bathroom and changed, happy Dean has calmed down. When she went back to the bed, Dean held his arms wide open for her and she giggled. When she layed down he quickly wrapped his arms around her and let her get comfortable. As soon as she stopped moving, Dean started to hum into her hair as he pressed his cheek to her head. She kept trying to figure out what he was humming, then she realized he was humming a Fall Out Boy song from earlier and she smiled and giggled some more. She knew everything would be okay and when Dean heard her laugh he knew she accepted his apology and still loved him.
